After re-signing with support player Keria, Korean esports organization has re-signed jungler Moon “Oner” Hyeon-joon ahead of 2025.
Oner re-signs with T1 on multi-year contract deal
Just like Keria, the jungle player has extended its contract with the organization until 2026. The announcement, which was confirmed directly by the organization, came two weeks after T1 won the 2024 World Championship, making them the only team in LoL Esports to win back-to-back titles with the same lineup.
“As I have re-signed with T1, I’m so honored to secure the jungle position for T1 once again. I will do my best to achieve greater things with T1 for the next two years,” said Oner in a video to fans on X. “Since we won the World Championship for the last two years, I can say we have achieved a lot. But not only Worlds, I want to win LCK as well in the next two years, and make more fun memories with fans.”
OFK locked in, ZG still to be confirmed
With Faker already signed for at least 2025, Oner’s re-sign means T1 has retained 3 of the 5 players from the 2024 roster. All of them have been together since 2021, with the exception of Zeus who joined as the starting top in 2022.
Throughout the past years, Oner has been a key member in the team’s success, as he is known for being a versatile player and making key plays in clutch moments, especially during the last two Worlds.
The jungler has also been voted as the Jungle of the Year in 2023 and won the LCK Finals MVP in the 2022 Spring Split, which is also the last domestic title won by the organization.
T1 will soon fly to Europe to take part in the upcoming Red Bull League of Its Own, a show match featuring some of the most popular teams in League of Legends, including the likes of Karmine Corp, G2 Esports, and Gentlemates, among others.
