Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series GPUs are on a roll thanks to limited competition from AMD in terms of both price and performance equivalents to its DLSS3/3.5 upgrades that push most games’ frame rates significantly higher. While the latter makes it a compelling upgrade, the former is a no-brainer given its current positioning in the market.
One of the most hotly contested segments of the market is the high-end, but not enthusiast tier, which sits just under $1000. It sees GPUs such as the Nvidia RTX 4080 SUPER, RTX 4070 Ti SUPER from Nvidia, and the RX 7900 series (7900 XTX, 7900 XT, 7900 GRE) fight it out in what is a very price-competitive space.
This also means discounts are relatively hard to find on Nvidia’s more dominant Ada Lovelace-based GPUs, even as the competition sees routine price cuts. The most significant deductions came on the heels of the RTX 4000 series SUPER GPUs, spearheaded by the RTX 4080 Super, which saw a large price cut versus its predecessor.

MSI’s RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Deal
While MSI’s US store has plenty of deals in play, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER SKUs that it has are pushed well below MSRP for their corresponding FE offering from Nvidia. While prices and availability are constantly in a state of change thanks to a flurry of orders on MSI’s site, it does remain one of the only places to grab an RTX 4070 TI Super GPU under its asking price, making it a worthy endeavor to keep abreast of options in play.
This is excellent timing, however, with Nvidia’s new RTX 4000 series bundle also being unveiled, which offers a free copy of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to gamers picking up an RTX 4070 or higher GPU at select retailers.

Should You Buy MSI’s RTX 4070 Ti SUPER GPU Offerings?
The price cut to the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER GPUs from MSI happened as rumors continue swirling around Nvidia’s RTX 5000 series GPU lineup, which is expected to launch towards the start of 2025. With Black Friday fast approaching, this could be a mix of both MSI looking to compete in upcoming sales, and wanting to liquidate inventory with Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 5000 series GPUs in the coming days.
Regardless, the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is a powerful GPU that should be able to handle most titles at a reasonable resolution and frame rate for the foreseeable future. The addition of a free game bundle from Nvidia ($70 value) and discounts, which are as steep as $80 in some cases, make it as compelling a time as any to upgrade to a DLSS 3/3.5 capable GPU that can take advantage of technologies such as Frame Generation. It also offers better efficiency and plenty of VRAM versus most of its current and last generation competition.
