Mario Party Jamboree is the latest entry in the Mario Party franchise. It offers both new and familiar features, including items which players can use during the match. The best items give players beneficial perks when they’re in a bind.
Some items cause hindrances to opponents, while others help the player themselves. Despite some items being situational, they can still provide a breakthrough for some competitors in specific circumstances. Every item has benefits, making the gameplay style more varied and enjoyable.

Pokemon TCG Pocket: All Item Cards, Ranked
Pokemon TCG Pocket has revamped well-known Item Cards from the physical Pokemon TCG; here are the ones that have proven the most effective.
F Tier
Loadstone
The loadstone is the worst item for a good reason. It’s only acquired when players select the random roulette option on a bad luck space. It maxes out the player’s storage, forcing them to acquire up to three. The loadstone isn’t selectable when the player acquires a fourth item, which forces the player to discard anything but the loadstone itself.
Loadstones stay in the player’s possession until they’re used like an item, freeing one space. Its only benefits are giving two coins and freeing up the player’s item spot. If foes have some use if the player lands on a specific event in Womp’s thrift store, though they must land on specific event spaces in the Rainbow Galleria.
D- Tier
Skeleton Key & Warp Pipe
- Skeleton Key: Open locked doors for an alternate path. Exclusive to Western Land and Bowser’s Keep.
- Warp Pipe: Teleports the player to a random space.
The Skeleton Key and the Warp Pipe have some uses in niche moments. The Skeleton Key is great at giving players different paths for shortcuts or specific areas, like Boo. It’s situational since it requires the player to meet in specific locked areas, which is time-consuming when getting bad rolls.
The Warp Pipe is only useful when players are willing to take a chance. It is risky, since it randomly teleports the user to any space on the board, including a space past the star. Its reward relies on luck, though it can be used anytime, unlike the Skeleton Key.
D Tier
Creepy Dice Blocks
- Creepy Dice Block: Force any competitor to roll 1–3 dice.
- Super Creepy Dice: Force every rival to roll 1–3 dice.
- Creepy Dice Block Tickets: Activates creepy dice block; reusable between 2–4 times.
The Creepy Dice Block is very effective at slowing down a speedy competitor. Its huge flaw is that its effects can be canceled by a power-up item like a mushroom. It is still helpful to use against opponents who are saving those items for later, forcing them to accept or break its effect.

Fortnite’s selection of cosmetics has something for everyone, including terrifying skins fit to star in nightmares.
Super Creepy Dice and Creepy Dice Ticket are the better versions, since they can slow down multiple people. Super Creepy Dice has the better range, but the Creepy Dice Block Ticket’s reusability makes it the best version of the Creepy Dice.
C- Tier
10-Coin Steal Trap, Half-Coin Steal Trap, Bowser Phone
- 10-Coin Steal Trap: Place trap to steal 10 coins.
- Half-Coin Steal Trap: Place trap to steal half of collected coins.
- Bowser Phone: Call imposter Bowser to confront a random competitor, including the user.
The Coin Steal Trap is good for stealing other players’ chances to buy resources. Its range is limited, since it reaches two spaces ahead of or behind the user’s current position, but it is worth limiting the opponent’s safety. Half-Coin Steal Traps are usually better than 10-coin steal traps, unless the opponent has less than 20 coins.
Another method to lower a player’s coins or even stars is the returning item, the Bowser Phone. It works differently in this game, since its effect makes Imposter Bowser call a random competitor. The upcoming punishment depends on Imposter Bowser’s choice, making the benefit rely on luck or completely backfire.
C Tier
Warp Box, Swap Mirror, & Shop Hop Box
- Warp Box: Teleports the user to a competitor’s current space.
- Swap Mirror: Switches user and random competitor on respective spaces.
- Shop Hop Box: Teleports the player to a random shop.
The fun way to travel around the board is to teleport with friends by Warp Boxes and Swap Mirrors. These items utilize the opponent’s positioning to the user’s advantage, especially when the opponent is near a star or shop. A Swap Mirror is better than a Warp Box, since the Warp Box teleports the player next to the opponent rather than switching, encouraging the competitor to target the user at a closer range.
The Shop Hop Box is more effective than the Warp Box or the Swap Mirror, since it lets the player regain the necessary resources. It randomizes which store the player will arrive at, though their locations are safer and consistent compared to a competitor being around riskier spaces like traps.
C+ Tier
Wiggler Bell, Tide Shell, & Bowser Byway Lever
- Wiggler Bell: Wake up Wiggler to move; exclusive to Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party.
- Tide Shell: Change the board’s tides; exclusive to Goomba Lagoon.
- Bowser Byway Lever: Change direction of Bowser’s conveyor belt; exclusive to King Bowser Keep.
The Wiggler Bell, Bowser Byway Lever, and Tide Shell all shift the map for new routes around the board. They’re situational, but are effective during moments that require opening shortcuts or forcing players away from their objectives.
The items are similar in their effectiveness, though Wiggler Bell and Tide Shell are only good at opening paths and shortcuts. The Tide Shell is better since it locks players away between the islands rather than opening an optional shortcut. The Bowser Byway Lever is the most effective, since its board forces players to interact with the ever-changing pathways often.
B- Tier
Mushroom, Double Dice, Turbo Dice, & Triple Dice
- Double Dice: Roll two dice.
- Mushroom: Automatically add 5 to the upcoming dice roll.
- Turbo Dice: Roll four dice, though restricts event spaces; exclusive to Roll’Em Raceway.
- Triple Dice: Roll three dice.
The most consistent option to move around every board is through the Double Dice and the Mushroom. The Mushroom is decent for players to reach up to 15 spaces. Even with a bad roll, the player moves at least 6 spaces. The double dice has the better maximum of 20 spaces, but also lowers its minimum to 2, greatly varying its range. It provides a good reward but at a riskier, less consistent cost compared to the Mushroom.

The following roguelike games stand out from the crowd with unique power-up mechanics.
There are also higher-tier movement items like the Turbo Dice and Triple dice. Turbo Dice gives the highest movement in the game with its 40 max roll, though it forces the player to speed through shops and event spaces. Improper use will waste the user’s chance to earn resources, including a star. It’s more situational than the Triple Dice, which still gives excellent rolls without any risk of passing essential spaces. Though it has a lower maximum, the user can still move while interacting with events and shops.
B Tier
Steamer Ticket & Markup Sticker
- Steamer Ticket: Calls the train to the current station; exclusive to Western Land.
- Markup Sticker: Doubles the price for the desired competitor until their next turn ends; exclusive to Rainbow Galleria.
The Markup Sticker and Steamer Ticket offer the best options to sabotage a competitor’s next moves. The Steamer Ticket is great at punishing opponents for moving too recklessly on the board. Competitors are forced to pay attention to their surroundings when a player has the ticket in their inventory. However, it is pretty situational, since it requires the user to appear in a station without a train while having opponents linger on the train’s railway.
The Markup Sticker is better at effectively hindering the opponent’s chances to gain resources, including a star. When used on one opponent, every price doubles for every purchasable item for them. This forces opponents to use more coins or else lose the chance to gain enough utility for future strategies.
B+ Tier
Mushroom Tickets, Payday Dice, Custom Dice Block, & Super Swap Mirror
- Mushroom Tickets: Activates a mushroom; reusable 2–4 times.
- Payday Double Dice: Roll two dice and gain coins equal to the total roll.
- Payday Triple Dice: Roll three dice and gain coins equal to the total roll.
- Custom Dice Block: Provides the user with a desired dice roll.
- Super Swap Mirror: Swap places with the desired character.
The effects from these items offer not only better movement, but also more adaptive benefits. While the Mushroom Tickets can be used in multiple turns, the better movement option is getting paid to move with the payday double dice and payday triple dice. The need to land on specific spaces is only consistently accomplished with the Custom Dice Block. Controlling movement stregthens the user’s advantage for needed effects like good luck or event spaces.
The Super Swap Mirror’s effect offers the best opportunities for the user to adapt. Whether any competitor reaches close to the star, Boo, or other necessities, it will greatly benefit the user themselves.
A- Tier
Tower Turner, Chomp Call, Dueling Glove, & Plunder Chest
- Tower Turner: Has a chance to shift the tower; exclusive to Mario’s Rainbow Castle.
- Chomp Call: Call a Chain Chomp to scare the star off to another spot.
- Dueling Glove: Challenge a competitor to a duel mini-game for coins.
- Plunder Chest: Steals a random item from the desired competitor.
These items are more consistent when it comes to taking a rival’s chance to earn their valuable star. The most helpful method is to move the star with items like the Tower Turner or the Chomp Call. Both items allow users to react to anyone getting too close to the star. The huge flaw with them is their random factor. The Tower Turner is the weaker item since it could possibly change the star, while the Chomp Call always moves the star to a randomized spot.
The Plunder Chest and Dueling Glove are more direct methods to take a competitor’s resources. The user can choose any player to confront for their valuable resources, using the Dueling Glove for coins or the Plunder Chest for items. The Dueling Glove is the best at stealing from opponents who earn too much money, though the user can only bet to their max wealth. The Plunder Chest does pick items randomly. It can also scare opponents from gaining better items, especially during the last few turns.
A Tier
Cellular Phone Block, Hidden Card
- Cellular Phone: Call a store to purchase items; exclusive to Pro mode.
- Hidden Block Card: Activates a hidden block for the user to gain coins or a star.
These items adapt their benefits for the user. The Cellular Phone fulfills the user’s need for supplies as if they’re at the shop. It’s very effective to adapt to upcoming scenarios or strategies by purchasing the available items.
The best item to immediately use for more resources is the Hidden Block Card. It comes with no downsides or fees. It can even reward the star if the Mario Party luck is present, though the probability is low. Its chance to pull a star may increase depending on the user’s current placement.
A+ Tier
Star Steal Trap, Boo Bell, Super Dueling Glove
- Star Steal Trap: Place a trap on one space to steal a competitor’s star.
- Boo Bell: Calls Boo to steal coins or star from a desired competitor.
- Super Dueling Glove: Challenges a chosen competitor to a duel mini-game for stars.
Star Steal Traps are the best at limiting the opponents’ landings. This item does require players to study the board and predict where the opponents may land. If they activate, it greatly rewards the user’s planning.
The best ways to confront rivals for stars are with the Boo Bell and the Super Dueling Glove. While the Boo Bell is safer to use for a star, it does cost 50 coins, which is over the price of 2 stars. The Super Dueling Glove allows the user to challenge another player for the star, which can shift the match’s momentum. It is risky, but its results can be great.
S Tier
Golden Pipe
The Golden Pipe is the most prioritized item for anyone to earn. Using the Golden Pipe brings the player one space behind the star, no matter where they are on the board.
The Golden Pipe appears in later turns at certain shops once the match closes in on the last five turns. The only flaw with the item is its high price, making the user a target for anyone to stop or steal. Its effect can significantly turn the tables in the user’s favor, especially when used with a buddy to gain two stars.
