LEGO Horizon Adventures brings the Sony exclusive series into a fun-loving LEGO-centric world. The Horizon franchise has been continuing to grow since the first game launched back in 2017, and LEGO Horizon Adventures is a bold new take on a world that’s usually based around more serious action-heavy scenarios. This crossover with LEGO has been an anticipated release for many, but PlayStation 5 Pro players were met with a disappointing realization when finding out that the game is not enhanced for the newly released console.
The launch of the PS5 Pro has been one of the year’s most highly-anticipated releases. Whether this is someone’s first PS5 or one has been in the market for a tech upgrade, the PS5 Pro aims to offer an enhanced experience. Not only are the tech aspects of the PS5 Pro impressive, but a growing roster of games has made a point to offer enhanced updates to take advantage of these specs. LEGO Horizon Adventures missing PS5 Pro support seems like a misstep on developers Studio Gobo and Guerrilla Games’ part.

LEGO Horizon Adventures Not Including PS5 Pro Support is a Missed Opportunity
Failing to Take Advantage of a Major Launch
With so many games jumping on the PS5 Pro support bandwagon, LEGO Horizon Adventures foregoing this opportunity is a surprising turn of events. Also, since the Horizon franchise has enjoyed exclusivity with Sony up until this point, it’s all the more shocking. While LEGO Horizon Adventures expands its reach to the Nintendo Switch, a series that has been such a staple for Sony and PlayStation choosing to leave out PS5 Pro support is a confusing choice. Most baffling of all, though, is that this is the first major launch following the November 7 release of the enhanced console. Boasting support for the upgraded PS5 would be one of the most obvious ways to ignite more interest, but this was either not considered or never even explored.
Horizon: Zero Dawn Remastered
features PS5 Pro support.
PS5 Pro Players Can Still Enjoy the Game’s Modes
- Fidelity Mode – Higher resolution textures, detailed lighting and shadows, and 30fps
- Performance Mode – Reduced visual effects, 60fps
While the game’s Fidelity and Performance modes can still be experienced by PS5 Pro players, it still feels strange for a first-party launch to not showcase stronger hardware. The PS5 Pro launched with a large roster of supported games that demonstrate the console’s capabilities, so this omission raises a number of questions. Although it’s highly likely that Guerrilla Games and Studio Gobo wanted to just focus on making it perform as well as possible on all of its available platforms, the lack of PS5 Pro enhancements feels like a sore spot in the stylish spin-off. A LEGO game may not have the same realistic graphics as the broader Horizon franchise, but the fun-loving world of LEGO Horizon Adventures could pop even more with the help of stronger hardware.
Players May Never Get Answers to the Questions About LEGO Horizon Adventures Missing PS5 Pro Support
No Clear Plans For Future Upgrades
It’s possible that the developers of LEGO Horizon Adventures could be planning PS5 Pro enhancements in the future, but that has yet to be confirmed. If rumors are to be believed, it looks like Guerrilla Games may have its hands full with other Horizon projects, as a recent job-listing suggests the next game in the series could possibly release in 2025. While this could potentially be the anticipated Horizon multiplayer title, there is no clear sign to point to this conclusion.
The future of the Horizon franchise continues to branch out past its initial concept, which could be interesting to see unfold. Missing such highly-anticipated support is definitely disappointing for many. Now, only time will tell if LEGO Horizon Adventures gets to revel in the PS5 Pro’s capabilities.
