Pokemon Go is continuing its series of new in-game events paired with the current season of the game, Max Out. This week, they will be hosting the Simply Groundbreaking Event, a limited-time event centered around the release of a new Dynamax Pokemon, Dynamax Drilbur.

The Simply Groundbreaking Event will be brief, only available for three days from Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10am local time to Sunday, November 17, 2024, at 8pm local time. There will be a handful of changes made to the game during this three-day event window; read on to learn all there is to know about this event.
Pokemon Go Debut: Dynamax Drilbur
Starting with this event, Dynamax Drilbur will be available to Max Battle against at different Power Spots in Pokemon Go. Make sure to take advantage of this because it is the first time that these battles will be available, giving you the opportunity to catch and Dynamax your own Drilbur after each successful completion.
Event Bonus
For the Simply Groundbreaking Event, there is only one bonus that will be active. For this event, players with a Trainer Level of 31 and above will have double the chances of obtaining Candy XL when catching different Pokemon.
To further the Candy XL you obtain throughout this event, make sure to Mega Evolve Pokemon that match the type of the Pokemon you are catching.

Event Wild Encounter Pokemon

Event Research
Timed Research
There will be Timed Research available for all players during this event, free of charge. Complete the different tasks that are part of this Timed Research before the end of the Simply Groundbreaking Event to earn Drilbur Candy and Drilbur encounters.
The tasks and the rewards from this Timed Research need to be completed and claimed before the end of this event.
After the Simply Groundbreaking Event has concluded, they will no longer be available.
Field Research Tasks
There will also be Event Field Research Tasks available to claim and complete during the Simply Groundbreaking Event. Make sure to visit and spin different PokeStop Photo Discs during this event to acquire these limited-time Field Research Tasks.
Completing these Field Research Tasks will reward you with different event-themed rewards, either Drilbur Candy or Drilbur encounters.
