One staff member you won’t want to overlook is the janitor. They’ll keep the park clean, and therefore your guests will be comfortable. But what happens when the janitors stop emptying the trash? We’ll show you how to get them back on track!

How To Get Janitors To Empty The Trash

By default, janitors in your park will handle a variety of tasks. Janitors will perform the following tasks during their scheduled work day when not taking a break:

Clean litter
Clean vomit
Clean benches
Clean toilets
Clean facilities
Empty bins

With so many tasks to handle throughout the day, the janitors can get busy and miss a few cans or messy spots in your park. Thankfully, there’s a way to work around that so you have a dedicated trash disposal employee.

Open the staff schedule and select a janitor. Examine their schedule and choose a time slot. Select the option for advanced settings, and you’ll see a menu that allows you to go over the staff member’s work preferences, including their scheduled zone and tasks.

Here, you can turn off every single task except emptying trash bins. This will ensure that during the selected time block, the chosen janitor will only empty the trash so it doesn’t overflow.

You can also choose to apply these settings to the all-day schedule so that the janitor’s only job is emptying the trash.

Additionally, if you find that the trash is still piling up, you can hire more janitorial staff and adjust their schedules to accommodate your guests. Stay vigilant, and you won’t see an issue with trash!
