Every Life is Strange game takes place in the same universe, but each one has a unique atmosphere that allows them to stand apart and feel distinct. If you feel like hopping in for the first time or want to go through the series again to see alternate paths, it’s always a good decision to know how long it will take you to beat them all beforehand.
How Long To Beat Every Life Is Strange Game?
There are currently six mainline Life is Strange games, though some are much shorter than others. Captain Spirit is a companion episode to Life is Strange 2 and is meant to be played between that game’s opening chapters. Aside from that, you can expect to spend a decent amount of time with the other games, but they’re not nearly as long as other games like Assassin’s Creed or Elden Ring. Due to the branching narratives, you’ll need to replay certain sections or the entire game again to fully complete them.
The longest Life is Strange game is about 20 hours long, so you could easily complete the whole series in a couple of weeks. Most games should take you a day or two to complete, but even if you finish one chapter or section every day, you could be done within a month.
In total, it would take you approximately 62.5 hours to beat every mainline Life is Strange game and about 83.5 hours to see everything they have to offer.
How Long To Beat Every Life Is Strange Expansion?
Most Life is Strange games are complete packages, but True Colors broke the mold by offering a paid expansion starring one of its side characters, Steph Gingrich. Available for $12.99, this side story takes place in Haven Springs a year before the events of the main game.

Wavelengths is a short adventure that you can finish in a sitting. It’s not essential to True Colors in the same way Captain Spirit is to Life is Strange 2, so it’s totally up to you if you want to spend a few dollars for some more time in this world.
With everything in mind, it would take you a total of 65.5 hours to play every Life is Strange game and 87.5 hours to fully complete them. That’s not bad, you could play through the entire series in less time than it would take you to beat Persona 5 Royal.
