From season three is firing on all cylinders lately as it begins to make its approach towards its final episode. Ramping up its pace yet offering more than enough ambiguity to keep supernatural lovers intrigued, the MGM sci-fi series’ season three begins to lift the lid slowly on what its dark force that hides in the forest could actually be. The mystery-horror series, which stars Lost actor Harold Perrineau, follows a group of people who have become imprisoned in a strange town with no way out due to horrific creatures that lurk in the woods, only revealing themselves at night in a bid to cause psychological warfare, and murder, on its townsfolk.
The complexity of the show’s haunting enigma has successfully cemented From alongside some of the best Sci-Fi shows that debuted in 2022, and the town’s supernatural elements have only intensified during season three’s run. Episode eight of From, saw the aftermath of Fatima’s brutal killing of Tilly with a pair of garden shears and now, showcased in an exclusive clip, Boyd has an idea that he might be at the center of this horrific act, as well as the possibility of other hidious incidents.

Boyd Shares Horrifying Revelation About Monster’s Intentions
In an exclusive clip taken out of From‘s upcoming ninth episode, an upset and nervous Boyd is seen talking to Ellis about his experience in the barn and being made to watch the savage death of Tian Chen. He explains to Ellis that he recalls the monsters who tore her apart telling him that they wanted to break him, making Boyd believe that the whole thing was a set-up from the start to watch him suffer. Boyd then tells his son that he now believes that Fatima killing Tilly was a ploy to further the monster’s plans to break him even further and drive him down a guilt-ridden road.
In the background of the clip, a figure can be seen in the window, but it’s not until the monster can be heard saying “You doing OK in there, Boyd?” that he then angrily reacts to it, noticing that it’s a shape-shifting smiling nurse who pretends to hold a gun up to her head, driving an already elated Boyd to shout profanities at it. Boyd’s reveal to Ellis is a hard pill to swallow for both characters and the audience, merging with another heartbreaking scene in From season three.
The arrival of the nurse monster is a constant reminder of the show’s sinister threat, echoing the eeriness of some of The Twilight Zone’s best episodes and even the nightmarish entity from Paramount Pictures’ Smile franchise. There’s a long list of questions to be answered in the show’s final episodes of season three and potential seasons to come, including the reason behind the ghost children’s demise. A recent fan theory has linked From’s “Anghkooey” phrase to a beloved Game of Thrones character, and after episode eight’s revelation between Christopher and the Boy in White, the governing power behind Fromville is beginning to, slowly, come out of the shadows.
From episode 9 will air on Sunday, November 17, with season 3’s finale concluding on November 24.
