Fans can now find out the episode titles for Stranger Things season 5, along with an exciting reveal about the new episodes of the hit Netflix show.
Wolfhard’s comments echo what Gaten Matarazzo said about Stranger Things season 5: “it’s huge” and “one of the biggest seasons of television.” Wolfhard continued that it’s:
“a really intimate season, but at the same time, a huge season, just in the scale of it.”
The actor also said he wanted to enjoy filming Stranger Things season 5. He said, “[I’m] really trying to be present with the character” and, “I’ve just been very deliberate in the way that I treat coming onto set, just having as good of a time as we can since we know it’s the last season.”
Netflix.tudum.com reported that the cast of Stranger Things started filming the new season in January 2024. Fans can check out pictures of the cast as they shoot season 5, which will have eight episodes. Wolfhard and his co-stars have shared that they are doing their best to have fun filming these episodes since they know it’s the last time they’re stepping into the shoes of their beloved and compelling characters. Since Stranger Things season 1 was released in 2016, the cast has grown up a lot, and now they’re getting ready for the next stages of their careers. There’s no denying that the actors looked old in Stranger Things season 4 and will likely look older than their characters once again in season 5. However, that’s just the reality of the filming schedule.
Wolfhard has starred in several interesting projects since he began portraying the sweet, likable, and sometimes frustrating Mike. He played Trevor Spengler in Ghostbusters: Afterlife and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which came out in 2023. Wolfhard has also appeared in several horror movies, including The Turning and the Stephen King movies It and It Chapter Two. Wolfhard’s resume includes characters who are finding themselves and their way in the world, just like Mike on Stranger Things. Wolfhard is also directing the movie Hell of a Summer.
Fans hope each character will get center stage in season 5. Hopefully, Dustin Henderson will be a focus, as he’s a kind person who has been through so much. It will be interesting to see how Mike and his friends have evolved since the events of the Stranger Things season 4 finale and to see just how action-packed the new episodes will be.
