Spoilers ahead for Black Ops 6’s campaign
11 Bishop Takes Rook
Intercept Saeed Alwai’s Convoy to Bring Him in Alive
Bishop Takes Rook is the introduction mission to the Black Ops 6 campaign, and it acts more as a tutorial than anything else. While it’s great to meet the new characters of Harrow and Marshall, the mission itself is more of a set-up for what is to come, and as such, it’s relatively short and simple when compared to the more ambitious missions.
It’s a decent start to what is to come, and players can learn how armor plates work, as well as their equipment wheel to utilize different streaks against their enemies. It’s a nice introduction back into the Black Ops world.
10 Blood Feud
Aid Sevati Dumas in Assassinating Avalon Agents
Blood Feud feels like a classic Hitman level, and it’s never a bad thing to have an open way to play. Blood Feud tasks players with working with Sevati Dumas in order to extract information about the mysterious Pantheon – but to do that, a few assassinations are required, which is where the fun really begins.
Players can embark on a stealth mission that will see them not only assassinate a target from afar with a sniper to a yacht, but they will also infiltrate a mobster organization that requires them to kill 3 targets. While fun in concept, these targets are all pretty much killed in the same way.
9 Separation Anxiety
Learn of Harrow’s Dark Past From Her Mind
Separation Anxiety is the penultimate mission of the Black Ops 6 Campaign, and it’s split into three parts. Each of them experiment with a new way to play, whether that’s a collection of puzzles, wave-based survival, or parkour. While they are fun and experimental, they are aided by their shortness.
Separation Anxiety takes a break from the central action to focus more on the singular narrative, and as interesting as it can be, sometimes it’s better to get into the fight instead of running around and looking for pieces of a broken mirror, but it serves the story well.
8 Checkmate
Defend the Rook From Pantheon
The final mission of Black Ops 6 has players prevent a siege from succeeding on the Rook, the place that Woods and the gang have called their home against Pantheon. While Woods and Harrow work on her mind to uncover the secrets within, the rest of the rogue Black Ops characters must defend their base with every gun and tactic that they have.
Checkmate is more like a wave-based mode, where players need to use Sentry Turrets and an army of weapons and bullets to stop Pantheon from getting too close to comfort. It’s a mission where everyone is in danger, and who knows who will end up alive or dead?
7 The Cradle
Infiltrate Saddam Hussain’s Bunker to Uncover the Cradle
Straight after Hunting Season, players will bask in the warm sun of Iraq as they take a strike team to Saddam Hussain’s fortress, harboring great secrets for Pantheon. The Cradle plays more like a classic Call of Duty mission, where players just have to go from Point A to Point B, but it’s still thrilling to do when roaming a giant palace.

6 Reasons Why You Should Play Black Ops 6’s Campaign
Call of Duty always has good campaigns, but Black Ops 6 is definitely a high point that deserves attention away from Multiplayer and Zombies.
There’s a lot of death that meets this mission, and a lot of ways to bring it. Whether it’s guns or explosives, players have a violent battle on their hands as war rages on, but it’s also a pretty short mission in comparison where all things come to an end after actually entering the richness of the bunker.
6 Hunting Season
Aid the SAS in the Sprawling Desert of Iraq
Hunting Season proves the ambition of Treyarch and its game design when it comes to campaign missions, as it features a large playground reminiscent of an open world. Within Hunting Season, the map may be large, but it’s certainly not empty. Teaming with Adler, Park, and Marshall, players must roam the desert and aid the SAS in their mission.
There is a lot to do in Hunting Season, and its experimental style definitely deserves credit. Whether it’s saving a team of soldiers from enemy fire, or infiltrating an Iraqi base to destroy a powerful convoy and uncover more secrets surrounding Pantheon and the Cradle – Hunting Season does a great job at trying it all.
5 Most Wanted
Rescue Russell Adler from a CIA Black Site
Most Wanted brings players to D.C., where they will need to infiltrate a fundraiser event for Bill Clinton of all people – further reinforcing Black Ops and its entwined narrative with American politics. While Bill Clinton doesn’t have anything to do in the mission, it’s a fun tie to real life to see him, while players try and sneak their way through this suit and tie event to find a way into the CIA black site underneath.
Avoiding detection from other CIA members and guards adds to the espionage thrill of the mission, and the fun isn’t over yet – since players actually need to enter into the CIA black site which will see a gunfight with Pantheon, where it can be played either through stealth or aggressive to save Adler and the hostages within.
4 High Rollers
A Stealthy Siege of a Pantheon Casino in Avalon
High Rollers is another unique mission that plays like one would expect from something like Ocean’s 11. As players enter into the mission, they will see that each member has their own unique role to play, as Case must get through the back levels, Marshall must reach the VIP room through poker, and Sevati must infiltrate as a disguised hostess.

Black Ops 6: Beginner Mistakes to Avoid
With Black Ops 6 providing another high-energy Multiplayer experience, it’s best to learn a thing or two before jumping in to avoid a death.
High Rollers is stealthy, classy, and full of espionage. While the majority of the mission is scripted to play a specific way, players still have the thrill of toppling this casino in a massive shootout, all to uncover more information on Pantheon through the Archive Room.
3 Ground Control
Stop Matvey Gusev’s Plane from Leaving Kuwait
A mission with Adler takes these rogue Black Ops agents back to Kuwait, where they team with an old friend of Adler’s in CENTCOM in order to try and make it to the abandoned airport to stop a Pantheon scientist from escaping their wrath. The mission is also rather straightforward, but extremely thrilling.
Not only will players see the darker side of Adler and his commitment to doing things his way, but further secrets on the Cradle are revealed through high-octane action, where players infiltrate an airport, battle their way through the ground with a tank, and ground a plane for good.
2 Under the Radar
Return to Vorkuta and Disable Pantheon’s Base Defenses
Utilize Sevati’s expert skills of disguise, assassination, and espionage to break into the secret Pantheon base in Vorkuta, the prison camp where the story began with Alex Mason and Viktor Reznov all those years ago. Not only is this a nostalgic return, but there’s so much to do here in so many different ways since players must find unique ways to distract, bribe, or trick guards into shutting down the base’s defenses.
Navigating through Vorkuta is exciting and nostalgic, but being boots on the ground with a gun in hand to uncover the Cradle and its mastermind is action-packed, especially when fighting against a myriad of foes and juggernauts.
1 Emergence
Find the Cradle and Suffer its Delusions
Emergence has Case and Marshall infiltrate an abandoned testing facility to find out more about the Cradle. However, things go wrong when Case becomes trapped in the depths of the building, with no gas mask to protect him from whatever delusions he might face. Thus, Emergence brings some truly horrifying aspects to reality.
Emergence is the first time in the franchise’s history that zombies become a central part of the story, and the mission’s Metroidvania design is thrilling as Case must locate keycards and utilize his equipment to fight through hordes of undead and elite enemies to save himself from this torment. Not only does Emergence have a great set for any zombie fan, but the uncovering of secrets surrounding Case’s past and the Cradle certainly highlights the potential here.
