Black Ops 6 Season 1 marks the first big content update for the popular Call of Duty title, bringing a plethora of content alongside its integration into Warzone. For Season 1, players can dive into fan-favorite game modes like Prop Hunt, battle on additional 6v6 maps such as Heirloom, and drop into Area 99 for Warzone Resurgence. Players can also get their hands on new weapons through the Battle Pass, with one of the highlights being the Saug Submachine Gun.
The Saug is an additional Submachine Gun to arrive in Black Ops 6 with the debut of Season 1. Sporting a very fast-fire rate to boot along with excellent levels of mobility and handling, this nifty SMG has the potential to become one of the best weapons in the game. However, with the ultimate loadout, it can be made even better.

How To Unlock The Saug
The Saug Submachine is a free reward unlocked through the Season 1 Battle Pass for Black Ops 6, found on Page 3. To acquire it, players must first unlock every reward within the previous Pages using their earned Battle Pass Tokens.
Next, they can claim every other reward on Page 3 before finally being able to claim the Saug. To avoid claiming rewards manually, players can enable the Auto Claim function within the Token Bank section of the Battle Pass.
Once Season 1 is over, the Saug will be made available as an Armory Unlock for those who have not acquired it through the Battle Pass.
Best Saug Loadout In Black Ops 6
First up is a build specifically for Black Ops 6 Multiplayer, one that aims to add a little more versatility for close and medium-range engagements. While the attachments below do not improve bullet velocity (as the default value falls within the hitscan range for Multiplayer), the damage range has been boosted. Much of the horizontal recoil experienced from a distance has also been reduced, improving accuracy across the board.
Other benefits of the following attachments include improved handling attributes, such as aim-down-sight, slide-to-fire, and dive-to-fire speeds, along with better movement and strafing speeds. This setup provides players with a fast and deadly Submachine Gun, capable of dominating on smaller maps like Nuketown.
- Long Barrel (Barrel)
- Vertical Foregrip (Underbarrel)
- Extended Mag I (Magazine)
- Ergonomic Grip (Rear Grip)
- Balanced Stock (Stock)
Best Perks & Wildcard
When it comes to Multiplayer, a good roster of Perks and a solid Wildcard can enhance a player’s loadout drastically. For Multiplayer, five-attachment builds are more than enough, calling for players to go with Perk Greed as their Wildcard. Doing so gives players more freedom with their roster of Perks without having to sacrifice the Combat Specialty. The perks below are a great match for an SMG build, handling weapon motion along with revealing enemy footsteps.
Other benefits include an increase in tactical sprint duration to maintain increased mobility for longer, access to the Enforcer Specialty for even more mobility with each elimination, along with the ability to loot ammunition from enemies when supplies are low. For a fast and aggressive loadout, the following Perks are vital for changing the game:

Secondary Recommendations
No loadout is complete without a solid Handgun to swap to when a quick reload is out of the question. For those looking for the best Handgun available, the Grekhova is by far the most reliable. Sporting a fast fire rate and excellent handling, this weapon will serve players well in their close-range engagements. For a more hard-hitting option, players can also opt for the GS45 or the 9mm PM.

Best Saug Loadout In Warzone
Next up is an eight-attachment build specifically for Warzone. Like its Multiplayer build, this one features improved damage range, handling attributes, and mobility. However, the benefits do not stop there, as the additional attachments allow players to enhance other key attributes.
The Warzone-specific perks of this build include a boost in bullet velocity on top of the damage range, extending the weapon’s hitscan range to make it more versatile for medium-range engagements. Extra attention has also been given to improving vertical recoil control, along with equipping a larger magazine for extra ammo capacity. When used on the Area 99 Resurgence map, this build dominates the competition at close range.

Best Perks & Wildcard
The Perk and Wildcard options for Warzone are a little more limited, but players can still get their hands on a solid package. Since the Saug build for this loadout utilizes eight attachments, players will need to use the Gunfighter Wildcard. Everything else is subject to personal preference, but we suggest running the Perks listed below.
Benefits of the following Perks include reduced weapon motion during movement activities for added accuracy, as well as the ability to kickstart health regeneration by eliminating enemies or inserting an armor plate. Players will also receive notifications when being targeted by enemies, which is excellent for avoiding third-party attacks.
- Dexterity (Perk 1)
- Quick Fix (Perk 2)
- Alertness (Perk 3)
- Gunfighter (Wildcard)
Secondary Recommendations
While players will be locked into equipping a Handgun for their Custom Loadout, they will still be able to purchase a custom weapon build from another loadout via the Buy Station, allowing them to complete their meta loadout in-game without sacrificing their eight-attachment build. For the Saug, players have two weapon combo options. The first is to run a reliable Sniper Rifle for long-distance encounters. While the LW3A1 Frostline is known for its speed, the LR 7.62 remains the best weapon in its class.
Alternatively, players can also consider a good long-range weapon from either the Light Machine Gun or Assault Rifle category. Excellent LMG options include the XMG and the GPMG-7. For Assault Rifles, the XM4, GPR 91, AK-74, and the Krig C are all solid choices.
