After Ichigo Kurosaki is defeated by his friend Uryuu Ishida, the Quincy King Yhwach prepares the next stage of his plan by absorbing his father, Soul King Adnyeus, as well as his right arm incarnated as the deity called Mimihagi. Mimihagi was sent by Captain Juushirou Ukitake to take the place of the killed Soul King.
