Key Takeaways
- Prioritize weaker zombies to tackle Elite Zombies efficiently.
- Invest in the right Perk-a-Colas strategically for optimal gameplay.
- Unlock ziplines between rounds 12-15 for quick map navigation.
Zombies has, by far, been the most well-received game mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. With the return of a round-based system that gradually gets more challenging, the thrill and fun are simply unparalleled. Among the two Zombies missions, Liberty Falls is generally easier because of the wider map, which allows you to grind XP much more easily.

However, the difficulty in higher rounds is nothing to scoff at — you’ll often wind up cornered, beaten up, and, most frustratingly, out of ammo. Once you spot an Elite Zombie in the distance, it’s almost guaranteed you’ll come out battered and bruised in a best-case scenario. Thus, knowing a few tips to help you survive can get you the most out of your experience.
9
Tackle The Minor Threats First
If you’re in a position where an Elite Zombie surrounds you, backed up by dozens of weaker zombies, always terminate the latter first. The weaker zombies are an equal threat, but you can wipe them out much more quickly, ultimately leaving you in a 1v1 scenario against the powerful, outlying hazard.
Compared to a beast like the Abomination or Amalgam, lowering your guard against a pesky Vermin or the regular undead is much easier. If they surround and immobilize you, it is basically a death sentence. Thus, you should focus your firepower on the masses because, while not dangerous individually, their collective strength is more dominant than anything.
To kill weaker zombies en masse, lure them into a straight line and, once they’re aligned, shoot directly at their heads.
8
Drink The Right Perk-A-Colas
A Perk-a-Cola is arguably the best long-term investment in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, as it gives you a considerable buff that lasts several rounds. However, each of these colas costs a considerable amount of Essence, and with eight Perk-a-Colas on Liberty Falls, you have to make some impactful choices.

Use loot keys to find free weapons, perks, and more.
For the early-game rounds, you should prioritize Stamin-Up, Deadshot Daiquiri, Speed Cola, and Melee Macchiato. As you progress, you should then get the PhD Flopper, Jugger-Nog, Quick Revive, and Elemental Pop colas in that order. With this priority in mind, you maximize Essence expenditure, ensuring you’re well-prepared with a solid foundation for later rounds.
Deadshot Daiquiri and Elemental Pop are not available at any Perk-a-Cola vending machine. You can only get them at the Der Wunderfuzz Machine, which spawns on Round 25. However, if you want Deadshot Daiquiri early and for free, shoot the five bottles near the cemetery in quick succession without missing.
7
Unlock The Ziplines
Getting to another portion of the map in an instant can be a massive life-saver when you’re surrounded. Ziplines can effectively fulfill that role, and in Liberty Falls, there are three ziplines you can unlock for Essence. You can find these ziplines near the church’s cemetery, the building on the left of Hill Street, and the rooftop on the other end of The Alamo’s zipline.
It’s best to unlock all the ziplines between Round 12 and Round 15 when you’ve got all the necessary Perk-a-Colas and Pack-a-Punch. Doing so gives you a direct and quick route from the church to your spawn.
6
Keep The Ammo Fee On Hand
When you run out of ammo, you enter a state of panic as you stand unguarded against an imminent horde. Although there are more than a couple of ammo-refilling vending machines in Liberty Falls, they come at a price, rising each time you use them. On top of staying close to these machines, you should always have enough Essence for an emergency ammo refill.
Staying mindful of this overhead is a great way to ensure you steer clear of those panic situations. Dumping hundreds of bullets in Zombies Mode, especially on a map like Liberty Falls, is much more common than you think. Therefore, never spend your remaining 250 or 1,000 Essence on upgrades.
5
Always Aim For The Head
Time and ammunition are vital resources in Zombies, and the most efficient way to conserve both is to keep your crosshairs on those heads. Not only do headshots deal five times more damage than body shots, but killing a zombie with a headshot grants bonus points.

Of course, while this tactic does work with weaker zombies, it’s not always the case with Elite Zombies. The latter have certain weak points that you need to target, or you might end up wasting a large chunk of ammo.
Deadshot Daiquiri is a great Perk-a-Cola for exploiting vulnerabilities, as it automatically aligns your crosshairs to the enemy’s weak points during ADS.
4
Keep The Last Zombie Alive
A new round will only begin if you eliminate all the zombies in the previous round. Thus, if you want to collect all the loot you missed, visit certain machines, or just want some time to catch your breath, keep the last zombie intentionally alive.
Doing so will fully prepare you for the next round with the right amount of ammunition and equipment. While it may not be as significant in the early-game rounds, this strategy is commonplace among pro players for rounds 20 and above.
Elite Zombies are exempt from this rule, as keeping a single Elite Zombie alive will not prevent a new round!
3
Upgrade Your Armor Vest As Soon As Possible
You start each mission in Liberty Falls with a Level One armor vest and can later buy Level Two and even Level Three vests at designated locations. While these armor sets cost a small fortune, getting them as soon as possible is better, especially the Level Three armor vest for 14,000 Essence.

One of the most common ways to die in Liberty Falls is to get ambushed by weaker zombies, who can eliminate you with a few good hits. Having more armor plates can be a blessing in those instances, particularly in later rounds.
You can find the Level Two vest inside the building near your spawn and the Level Three vest at the cemetery.
2
Reserve Your Salvage For Weapon Upgrades
In Liberty Falls, weapons are categorized into five distinct rarities: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. The higher your weapon’s rarity, the more damage it does, and the damage bonus from each category is substantial.
The only way to upgrade your current weapon’s rarity is by spending Salvage—a currency dropped by zombies—at the Arsenal Machine. Upgrading your weapon rarity is undoubtedly the best way to use your Salvage—you can invest your resources in a single weapon that can have all the firepower you need to survive future rounds.
With a higher weapon rarity, you’ll also receive a bigger bonus from the Pack-a-Punch upgrade.
1
Exfil Only When You’re Ready
Once you’ve had your fill of killing zombies, the last step is to get out of Liberty Falls. However, the exfil is a unique challenge; you only get one shot after calling the chopper. Thus, make sure your gear is at its maximum potential.
This preparation would include full armor, ammo, a field upgrade, and a scorestreak to go. Thankfully, you can skip the hassle by getting the Mutant Injection instead. This overpowered special item temporarily transforms you into a Mangler, and you can get it via the Crafting Table for 2,500 Salvage or as a random drop from a Mangler.
The common exfil locations in Liberty Falls are at or near The Alamo. So, make sure its routes are unlocked before calling the chopper.
