Lorelei and the Laser Eyes launched back on May 16 for the Nintendo Switch and PC and has seemingly received a PEGI rating of 12 for PlayStation 4 and 5, the same rating it got for other platforms.
Developed by Simogo and published by Annapurna Interactive, the same company responsible for the release of the widely popular adventure game Stray, Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is a unique adventure game with a low-poly aesthetic. The game puts players in the shoes of the titular protagonist, who is summoned to engage in a mysterious project in an old hotel, where they are engulfed in an array of illusions and sent down a mysterious rabbit hole.

Annapurna Interactive is to Games as A24 is to Movies
Annapurna Interactive’s support of indie game developers with unique ideas is mirrored by A24’s similar work in the film and television industry.
Originally released exclusively for PC and Switch, the game is now seemingly on its way to the PS4 and PS5 as well, after gaming news outlet Gematsu shared an image of its PEGI rating page on its official Twitter account. The rating does not seem to appear publicly when searching for the game yet, however, and though it claims a release date of November 14, it does not appear to be available on PlayStation as of now.
PlayStation Fans Might Have Even More Indie Horror to Look Forward To
Still, the page does appear to confirm that the game is on its way to the platform in the near future, giving prospective fans another avenue to check the game out for themselves. Steam reviews have compared Lorelei and the Laser Eyes to the likes of Alan Wake due to its self-aware narrative aspects, mixed with low-poly graphics somewhat akin to the original PlayStation.
Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is the third major release for developer Simogo, which has made a name for itself in the past with its surreal, narrative-driven titles, having debuted with the first-person adventure game Year Walk in 2014. The studio followed that up in 2019 with the launch of the musical adventure title Sayonara Wild Hearts, which became its hottest title at the time.
It is not clear at the moment when Lorelei and the Laser Eyes might show up on PlayStation consoles, but there are plenty of unique adventure games for users on the console to enjoy in the meantime. As for Annapurna fans on the Switch, Stray finally received a port to the Nintendo Switch for those looking for another adventure with a more light-hearted tone.
