A new add-on has been released into Skyrim‘s Creations menu, which draws from Norse mythology to allow players to wield the legendary hammer Mjolnir in Bethesda’s RPG. This is just the tip of the iceberg for everything this new Skyrim add-on brings to the game, though.
Official Bethesda DLC for Skyrim stopped all the way back in December 2012 with the release of the Dragonborn expansion. However, the studio has continued to support community-made content, especially with the inclusion of the Creation Club and more recently, the Creations menu. These give avenues for modders to earn income from their mods, and there have been some epic creations to come from this system. Just recently, Skyrim received a “DLC-sized” expansion through the Creations menu titled Coven of Crones, keeping the game fresh 13 years after its initial release.

The team at High Tale Creations released a new DLC-sized Skyrim mod that pits the Dovahkiin against an entire island of supernatural foes.
Created by Shoeburglar on the Skyrim Creations menu, Truth in Legends can be picked up for 600 Creation Credits. This epic add-on takes huge inspiration from Norse mythology, bringing in the hammer Mjolnir while allowing players to “Become the God of Thunder.” Yes, Mjolnir can be thrown, and yes, it flies back by itself. It adds 11 new perks and several unique spells, alongside Hover Mode, which “allows the player to skirt along the ground like a god.” It also includes a brand-new armor set with a huge Skyrim dungeon to explore, culminating in a legendary boss battle against The Stormherald.
Skyrim Creation Lets You Become the God of Thunder
According to Shoeburglar, it’s recommended that players are at least Level 25 before engaging with the content in Truth in Legends. This Skyrim boss battle isn’t easy, so players need to put some reps into their character before confronting The Stormherald. The dungeon is found south-west of Cradle Stone Tower, and players also need to have completed the Horn of Jurgen Windcaller quest first. Truth in Legends is available now on the PC and Xbox versions of Skyrim via the Creations Menu.
While Bethesda’s support of Skyrim continues through the Creations menu, development continues on The Elder Scrolls 6 at the studio. Announced back in 2018, Bethesda has been relatively quiet on the project over the years, with gamers’ best information about the title arriving by accident. Earlier this year, a Bethesda developer accidentally hinted at The Elder Scrolls 6‘s setting via a Pinterest board, indicating where in Tamriel the series is headed next. With Starfield now out of the way, hopefully Bethesda will soon be able to reveal a little more about what’s in store for the next Elder Scrolls game.
