Quick Links
Farming is a big part of Sengoku Dynasty, and the first thing you’re going to need are seeds. You may have to rely on merchants to get seed bags early in the game, and at 180 coins each that can be a pricey proposition. Sooner rather than later, you’re going to need to start crafting your own seed bags.
Luckily, the process isn’t particularly taxing. As long as you’re able to get some basic materials and the right buildings, you can grow just about any plant you’ve found in the wild or bought from a merchant.
How To Make Seed Bags In Sengoku Dynasty
To craft seed bags, you first need to build a Tailor in one of your villages. Once that’s done, you can use the Tailor’s Workstation to craft seed bags using the bottom two sections of its menu. There’s one section for land field crops, and one for water field crops.
In both cases, every seed bag requires two things:
- 4 Fur
- 5-25 of the plant whose seeds you’re extracting. The number varies by plant; those with higher crop yields require more for seeding.
Since seed bags require fur rather than linen, you can easily craft them without having to go in search of flax or hemp.

Where To Get The Crafting Materials For Seed Bags
You can find most plants growing in the wild as long as they’re in season, though you’ll usually need to go off the road to find them. It’s easier to buy them from a Food Merchant; try visiting one of the neighboring villages or setting up a vendor stall in your own town. Merchants also wait near bridges that you construct via special projects.
You won’t find staple crops like wheat and rice growing in the wild, so you’ll need to either buy a seed bag from a merchant, or enough plants to craft your own once you have a Tailor.
You can only get fur from a skinned animal if you have the Animal Trophy Hunter Perk from Way of the Warrior. Not only that, but hunting animals yourself is a pretty inefficient way of getting fur. You’re much better off building a Hunter’s Hut and assigning a villager to collect furs instead.
You don’t need more than one seed bag at a time for farming, but producing more is an easy way to make money; they sell for 42.75 coins each.
