Through continuous updates, Arrowhead Game Studios has increased the number of arms to choose from, giving players a wide array of options. One of the more recent additions is the R-2124 Constitution, a bolt-action marksman rifle affixed with a bayonet, resembling World War I rifles like the M1903 Springfield and the M1917 Enfield. Though it’s far from one of the best primary weapons in Helldivers 2, being tied to real-life armaments could inspire Arrowhead Game Studios to add others like it in the future.

Arrowhead Game Studios just has to look at its current properties, as the developer has a lot of options to consider.

  • The bayonet attachment to the Constitution rifle could lead to more weapons that can also feature a bayonet, making some of the more modern assault rifles with bayonet lugs a possibility
  • Since it’s a Marksman rifle, future marksman additions could also be designed around the real-world weapon, but this time on the more powerful iterations like the classic M44 and M700 Carbon.


While it’s not one of the worst weapons to use in Helldivers 2, the Constitution rifle is far from optimal. Arrowhead Game Studios has to learn from it, ensuring that future additions based on real-life weapons have more of an impact on both gameplay and the players.

Using the Constitution rifle as the basis for more real-world-like weapons could also help Arrowhead avoid running out of ideas on what could be added. It could come to the point that there will be so many additions that players will constantly be changing primary weapons in Helldivers 2, which can be seen as a good thing as it shows that, despite the meta, there are still many options to choose from.


Though the Consitution rifle can be seen as a fun but underrated weapon in Helldivers 2, it doesn’t offer much in terms of actual firepower, making its addition feel somewhat lackluster. However, since it’s based on real-life guns, the concept behind its creation could be used again, but with more practical ideas and execution. Arrowhead Game Studios can learn from what the rifle was lacking, and then utilize the information when making new weapons based on guns from the real world.
