First Look At The New Manga by Oshi no Ko Author

After more than four years of serialization, the Oshi no Ko manga has come to an end. The manga began serializing on April 23, 2023, and it received a lot of positive reviews from readers. Oshi no Ko had a superb run, but all good things must come to an end.

The manga’s final chapter was released on November 14, 2024. Following its conclusion, Aka Akasaka can finally begin working on his next project. The name of his next project has yet to be revealed. But he did release a new graphic that will give fans an idea of what to expect from the new series.

Aka Akasaka’s new project will be a fantasy romance manga. It will be set in a fairytale world, and it will focus on the love between a prince and a princess. It is hardly surprising that romance is going to be a key theme for Aka Akasaka’s new manga. Given the success that he achieved with Kaguya-sama: Love is War, it doesn’t make sense for him to go down a different route.

Joining Aka Akasaka will be Ajichika and Aoi Kujira. Ajichika will provide illustrations for the manga. It is a group of four members who have previously worked on the hit martial arts series, Record of Ragnarök. Aoi Kujira will be in charge of series composition.

Aka Akasaka’s Oshi no Ko was illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari. She is also working on a new one-shot called Ai Bakka, which is set to release in February 2025. It is unclear if she will start a new series or join someone else.

Aka Akasaka Has Had Two Big Hits

Aka Akasaka is a very well-known mangaka. It is widely believed that Kaguya-sama: Love is War is his magnum opus. The manga was released in 2015 and reached its conclusion in 2022. At the same time, Aka Akasaka was also working on Oshi no Ko, which began serializing in 2020.

Kaguya-sama: Love is War has sold over 22 million copies, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time. The manga received an anime adaptation in 2019. It was produced by A-1 Pictures and it had 12 episodes. The subsequent season was released in 2020, and it also had 12 episodes. Kaguya-sama: Love is War’s third season premiered in 2022.

Oshi no Ko’s anime adaptation was announced in June 2022. The season began airing in April 2023 and aired its finale in June 2023. The anime adaptation helped boost its popularity. This was reflected in the manga sales. So far, Oshi no Ko manga has sold over 18 million copies.
