Planet Coaster 2: How To Build Custom Shops And Facilities
We look at the custom build tools for assembling buildings for your shops and facilities.
In one scenario, you’ll need to acquire farmland to continue expanding your domain. Building from the ground up takes time, and you’ve got plenty of it. We’ll walk you through all the objectives so you can complete the scenario, collect your badges, and continue to progress through the campaign.
Farmland Fiasco Bronze Objectives
When you first arrive on the farm, you actually only own a small piece of the property. Your goal is to eventually own it all, but you’ll need to grow your tiny park into a thriving world of thrills.
Expand Your Park
The first steps are to use your funds to purchase another plot of land. There are a total of 11 plots to purchase, and you already own a couple of them.
Your first objective is to own a total of three plots of land. There are several available that already have attractions on them, and there are a few budget-friendly options that will only cost you $1,000 instead of $4,000.
Run An Advertising Campaign
Once you purchase your land, it’s time to run an advertisement campaign to spread the word about your park. It will draw more guests in, and more guests translates to more money for you to use!
The Ride Prestige Pros advertisement requires you to have a flat ride with at least prestige rating of 700 or more.
Select the campaign from the advertising menu, then run it at your desired cost. It will continue to run until it reaches 100 percent completion and the number of guests maxes out for that category.
Build New Facilities
The last thing you need to do to earn your bronze badge is build and open new facilities. This includes two facilities: a shop and a restroom. Build and place them both in your park so guests can access them.
With that, you’ll earn the bronze badge and be ready to embark on the next set of objectives.
Farmland Fiasco Silver Objectives
With your park now making a name for itself, there’s no time to stop. You’ll have to make further advancements on your own without much guidance from the objectives menu.
Thankfully, we’ll help you achieve your goals with ease! Below is everything you need to do to obtain the silver badge for the park.
Own More Land
While you already own three plots of land, you need to up your game. Purchase two more for a total of five plots of land to really help your park thrive.
You can purchase any plots you want, but it’s best to buy Farmer Macolner’s Plot.
If you’re low on funds for purchasing land, try increasing your prices, charge admission to the park, or decrease unpopular ride prices so you can generate more income.
Increase Scenery Rating
With more land in your domain, you’ll want to increase the scenery rating for the Bumpin’ Derby to 9,000. To reach such a high score, you’ll need to place plenty of decorations around the ride.
Open the scenery menu and use the blueprint options to place prebuilt items. These will greatly increase your score when place. Continue to place them around until you hit 9,000, then carry on to the next objective.
You can remove excess scenery after completing this objective.
Increase Your Park Rating
Now that you’ve made your park more scenic, it’s time to check the overall rating of your park. You need it to reach two stars by increasing your ride prestige, scenery ratings, park reputation and the number of unique attractions available.
Flat rides are a great way to increase variety quickly!
It will take a bit of time, but once the park is ready, you’ll receive your silver badge and be well on your way to completing the scenario!
Farmland Fiasco Gold Objectives
Now that your park is thriving, it’s time to make it shine. Focusing less on attractions and more on operations, you’ll make your park easy to access and profitable by completing these objectives.
Purchase More Plots
By now you should be used to purchasing more land. Obtain another two plots, for a total of eight, to complete this objective and expand your theme park enterprise across the farm.
Build A Transport Ride
With all the land you’ve acquired, your guests will greatly appreciate an easier way to navigate the park. Open your tracked rides menu, then select custom. From there, open the transport menu and select either the cable car or the bus.
Build a transportation circuit to carry guests across your park. It must be at least 500 meters in length, so be sure to cover a good amount of land. Once the ride is ready, open it up so your guests can easily make their way from one end of the park to the other.
If you have the bus built, make sure to adjust the number of buses available so that you can carry more guests in less time.
Increase Your Daily Income
Lastly, you’ll need to increase your daily income to over $100,000. To do this, you’ll want to make more money by opening additional shops, increasing ride prices, adding new attractions, and more.
When the day ends, the counter will start over to track the new day! Don’t get discouraged.
With a surplus of income for your park, you’ll earn the gold badge and take pride in your work!
Farmland Fiasco Platinum Objectives
The final set of objectives mostly deals with administrative tasks. From paying your debts to maintaining your park, every one of these last objectives will help you make your park a household name!
Own All Farmland
To complete this objective, purchase any of the remaining land plots in the area. You’ll need to own all 11 to complete this objective and continue on with your quest to build the best theme park you can on the farm.
Pay Off Your Loans
After you’ve purchased all the land, it’s time to pay off any loans you took out. You may not have any, if you’ve been diligently paying them down, but otherwise you’ll need to open the finances menu.
Select the loan options and make a payment. Once the balance is zero and you’ve paid it all off, you’re in the clear.
Keep Up With Maintenance
The next step is ensuring that all of your rides are up to date on their maintenance. Hire additional mechanics to handle the workload, as you’ll need all attractions to be above 80 percent on average.
Without maintenance, rides break down. You can use the staff schedule to manage every minute of an employee’s day or you can simply schedule emergency repairs until the problem is dealt with.
Raise Your Park Rating
Finally, get your park rating above four and a half stars. Keep the paths and bathrooms clean, the ride queues short, and your staff and guests happy to ensure your rating goes up.
Once it does, you’ve completed every challenge presented to you. You’ll be awarded with the platinum badge and can move on to another scenario!
