World of Warcraft game director Ion Hazzikostas recently gave players a look at what 2025 has in store for The War Within expansion with a new content roadmap. The content planned for World of Warcraft was revealed toward the end of the Warcraft 30th Anniversary Direct broadcast and showed that a few features would be returning to the game.
To start the segment, Hazzikostas confirmed that World of Warcraft‘s Siren Isle content update would launch on December 17 after over a month of public test realm (PTR) feedback. Siren Isle will take players to a previously unused map created during the Battle for Azeroth expansion, now reworked to suit The War Within story arc. As players explore the Siren Isle, Blizzard revealed that the Turbulent Timeways event from Dragonflight would return in Patch 11.0.7, offering Timewalking rewards and a bonus to experience points gained, which will make leveling alternate characters much quicker than normal.

Along with reiterating that Plunderstorm would also come back for a second run, Hazzikostas gave World of Warcraft fans a look at what Blizzard has in store for 2025. Hazzikostas pulled back the curtain on World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, Undermined, which will take players to the titular Undermine, the fabled underground capital city of the Goblins. The Undermined update will launch in early 2025, and its main features include a new raid, dungeon, arena PVP map, and a vehicle that can move faster than any ground mount in the game. Although the Goblins have a long-standing reputation as a comedic and temperamental race in World of Warcraft, Hazzikostas said that the events that play out in the Undermine will tie into The War Within and the ongoing conflict with Xal’atath, the main antagonist of the expansion.
