Togashi has been working on Hunter x Hunter non-stop for quite some time now and HxH chapter 407 is heavily anticipated. The HxH story heads deep into its current arc with the Succession Contest unfolding inside the Black Whale. Togashi has been writing many complex storylines that will all eventually connect here.

Fans can definitely expect some intense focus on the Phantom Troupe, as it seems like this arc will mark their end, or at least the end of their leader, Chrollo Lucilfer. Togashi is definitely planning something huge for the next chapters.

The Heil-Ly and Phantom Troupe In Action

In Hunter x Hunter 404, Morena and her group were seen planning to kidnap someone. Specifically, Dogman will be seen in action as he’s Morena’s strongest and highest level man, who has the ability to determine someone’s Nen type, proficiency, and their whole identity, depending on how close he gets to them to sniff them. Dogman will also be accompanied by Sodom, another member of the Heil-Ly. Their goal on this mission, using Halkenburg’s funeral procession, will be to kidnap an individual – someone who does not know how to use nen yet.

While chapter 404 didn’t mention who this individual will be, Morena and the Heil-Ly already narrowed down chapters ago. The person Morena has targeted to kidnap is implied to be someone from 4th Prince Tserriednich’s private army. Some of them could definitely be present at the funeral procession. It is unknown who Morena will kidnap at this point, and fans will have to wait and see what Togashi is planning.

However, in HxH 407, fans could definitely see this plan unfold as the procession of Halkenburg’s funeral advances. This will not be the only thing going on with the Heil-Ly. Two members of the Phantom Troupe will soon intrude on their hideout. Feitan and Phinks, who separated from Nobunaga, are still heading towards the Heil-Ly hideout, as they were given better access to move between the different tiers of the Black Whale by the Cha-R. As fans have seen in HxH 406 though, the transmitter that was turned into an oyster by Hinrigh ran out of Nen and will be discovered by a member of the Heil-Ly soon enough. That said, the Heil-Ly might not find it in time, and the Phantom Troupe could make its way to their hideout first. There, a fight could ensue, but Feitan and Phinks do not plan to fight, except in self-defense, to be able to remain in the hideout.

One individual who could definitely get in their way is Wang, the under-boss of the Cha-R, who seems to be working for Morena. The plot with the Phantom Troupe and Heil-Ly is definitely heating up, and Togashi is planning something huge with the two groups.

Another character that Togashi will be focusing on soon is Nobunaga. This member of the Spider has had some of the best development in this arc. Nobunaga is moving alone, and will be a major character in upcoming chapters.

Chrollo Advances to Steal the National Treasures

The Phantom Troupe has been taking a central role in this Succession Contest arc in the manga. Of course, the most interesting character currently among them is, unsurprisingly, Chrollo Lucilfer, their leader. Chrollo was recently seen in HxH 406. In that chapter, he was seen using a brand new Nen ability, Love Dial 6700, and fans were able to get an insight into his current goals. Chrollo aims to steal a treasure, specifically the three national treasures of Kakin. If he manages to do this, his Skill Hunter ability will reach new heights and allow him to gain rare and powerful abilities.

In Hunter X Hunter chapter 407, fans will definitely be seeing more of Chrollo. Chrollo will have to find a way to steal these treasures, most likely all on his own, or maybe with a partner. He will be heading up in the Black Whale to the first tier. Chrollo has been making use of Love Dial 6700 to locate someone, but who this person is remains unknown for now. There is an indication that this person could be Kurapika. Regardless, Chrollo will shine in upcoming chapters, especially when this arc might very well be his last in HxH.

Hisoka and Chrollo will have a rematch this arc, and with Hisoka eliminating some of Chrollo’s fellow Phantom Troupe, he has sent him deeper into despair. Hisoka might kill another member of the Troupe soon, that being Bonolenov, who is currently in proximity to him.

The Story Returns to the Kakin Princes and Kurapika

Togashi has been tackling multiple plotlines in this arc, with each one being extremely detailed and complex. He recently switched over from focusing on the Kakin Princes to focusing on the mafia and Phantom Troupe plotline, and he could very well switch back to the Princes soon in Hunter X Hunter chapter 407. A fascinating character in this arc is Prince Halkenburg. This prince killed his original body and is currently in the body of a bodyguard of the first Prince Benjamin. The story could focus on his attempt to reach Benjamin. However, chaos will ensue at his own funeral procession soon enough.

Other interesting plotlines for the princes currently going include the one with Prince Fugetsu. Melody and her group intend to kill Prince Luzurus in an attempt to save Fugetsu, and such a murder will not be easy to pull off and will have major repercussions. It isn’t even guaranteed that this will save Fugetsu. The other Kakin princes, such as Tserriednich, Camilla, and Benjamin, will have their interesting moments soon enough.

Kurapika is also extremely busy right now, with a new Nen workshop starting. He plans to reveal the content of Queen Oito’s letter, which could lead to some action from a Prince, a good guess here being Camilla.
