Warframe update unlocks Xaku Prime, as beloved social hub makes a return

The latest Prime Warframe makes its debut in Digital Extremes’ stylish free-to-play co-op game, but there’s even more good news for players this week. Alongside the launch of Xaku Prime access comes the return of the much-loved Höllvania social hub. Originally introduced as a teaser for the upcoming Warframe 1999 questline, the fanbase quickly fell in love with this limited-time Relay, and has begged the developer to bring it back. Now, those prayers have been answered.

The Warframe 1999 release date is now locked in for December, and thrusts us into a dieselpunk-inspired world where a troublesome group of Protoframes are on the hunt for infamous Orokin scientist, Albrecht Entrati. It promises to be quite the overhaul to one of the best long-running free Steam games, and Warframe players quickly fell in love with the limited-time Höllvania Central Mall that served as an early in-game teaser. Unfortunately, it didn’t stick around, but now it’s making a return by popular demand.

The Warframe Höllvania mall returns to Warframe Thursday November 14, and will stick around until Friday December 6. That should give you plenty of time to count down to the 1999 launch while hanging out with other players and enjoying the hottest hits from Warframe’s resident infested boyband, On-lyne.

Before that, however, comes the arrival of Xaku Prime. Landing today, Wednesday November 13, the newest Prime Warframe is a reimagining of the mysterious entity fused from multiple ancient Warframes lost in the Void. Xaku Prime boasts increased shields, armor, energy, and sprint speed, along with a bonus Aura mod slot.

You’ll be able to earn the Xaku Prime frame for free along with their signature weapons – the Quassus Prime war fan and Trumna Prime rifle – by collecting the appropriate Blueprint, components, and Void Relics and crafting them in the Foundry. There are also two additional cosmetic items available for purchase: a special themed variant of the Artifex Syandana and the sinister Necra Operator suit.
