Things to Do After Completing the Tutorial Tasks

Things to Do After Completing the Tutorial Tasks

Like a lot of other free-to-play mobile games, Pokemon TCG Pocket comes flying out of the gate, providing players with a ton of free pack pulls during its opening stages. However, once players have finished the tutorial section and completed the Advanced Missions, they’ll find that things can dry up rather quickly, leaving many to wonder what to do next in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

A complete list of all of the cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket and information on how to get them.

Thankfully, there’s a decent amount of content for players to engage with after completing the tutorial, including limited-time events and challenging solo battles. Some of this content can be quite easy to miss though, particularly for those rushing through things so that they can open more packs as quickly as possible. As such, anyone at a loss may appreciate this list of things to do in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

1 Complete All Solo Battles and Objectives

Upon reaching Level 3, players will unlock the Battle Hub, where they can use their cards or rental decks to take on other players or the AI. Completing all 26 of these will reward players with 112 Pack Hourglasses (as well as numerous other rewards), which works out to another nine packs or so, although players should also pay close attention to each battle’s bonus objectives.

By completing all 93 solo battle objectives, players can get their hands on an additional 416 Shop Tickets, which can then be traded in for Pack Hourglasses at the Shop. Depending on how players decide to spend these, they could be looking at an additional 12 packs, making the solo battles a very lucrative way to farm more packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket.

2 Complete Daily Missions

Pokemon TCG Pocket is a little stingy when it comes to daily tasks. Players will receive just four Shop Tickets for completing any three of the missions listed below, which works out to just a single pack pull every three days. They’ll also get one Wonder Hourglass and one Shop Ticket each day via the Complimentary Item Set in the shop and can earn up to five bonus Shop Tickets by receiving Thanks from people they battle or who choose their packs in Wonder Pick.

3 Bulk Up Your Friends List

The easiest way to earn five Thanks per day is to have a lot of friends. This is because friends often appear at the top of each other’s Wonder Pick list, which can massively increase the chances of their packs being picked from. Alternatively, players can complete PvP battles, as most people leave a Thanks regardless of how the battle goes. As there’s currently no penalty for losing PvP battles, players can concede the battle right away to speed up the process if they’re in a hurry. Unlike in other games, their opponent will probably be thankful that they bailed early.

4 Complete Events

There are numerous events in Pokemon TCG Pocket, although most focus more on cosmetics than they do on in-game currency. However, battle-centric events do provide players with the resources needed to open more packs, while solo battle events can also reward them with promo card packs. PvP battles also provide experience and do not require stamina, so players can keep battling indefinitely if they really want to, with each new level rewarding them with enough Pack Hourglasses for another pack pull.

5 Take Stock of Your Cards

The more time players sink into Pokemon TCG Pocket, the harder it becomes to earn the resources needed to pull more packs. With this in mind, players will want to do their best to make every pack pull count. Granted, the odds of pulling a certain rarity remain the same regardless of which pack players choose, but for those hoping to complete the Kanto Pokedex and unlock Mew, knowing which cards they already have can be very important.

To maximize their chances of success, players should take a moment to write up a list of all of the cards that they’re still missing and which packs those cards can be found in. By doing so, they may come to realize that they’re missing a lot more cards in one of the packs than the other two, allowing them to increase the odds that they pull new cards with their next pack pull,

6 Check Wonder Picks Often

Wonder Picks update quite often in Pokemon TCG Pocket, and players are often treated to free Bonus Picks. However, these free picks expire relatively quickly, making it important that players check their Wonder Picks often in order to avoid missing out. However, bonus picks aren’t the only reason that players should keep an eye on the cards that are on offer in Wonder Picks.

As players get closer to completing each set, they’ll find that most of the packs available in Wonder Pick only have one or two cards that they need, if any. As such, players should be on the lookout for packs that have three or more cards that they need, or packs that have more than one full art, as the cost of pulling from a pack with a full art is three regardless of how many full arts the pack contains.
