Although not affecting the gameplay, these operators offer unique mid-combat dialogue and skin collection that lets you bond with them. With 21 of them in the game across two factions, you’ll have enough time to play with and learn most of the operators. However, there are a few highlights here whose skins look better, voice lines feel punchier, and, at times, blend in a bit more with the environment.
8
Toro
Faction: Crimson One
Toro embodies the classic commando look—camo uniform, body paint, and a chest strapped with shotgun shells. On dense maps like Derelict and Nuketown, his face paint enhances his camouflage, making him pretty hard to spot among the foliage.
Of course, the bright red nametag usually gives him away, but when he slips into your blind spot, Toro’s disguise gets a moment to shine. Adding to his charm, Toro’s one of the few in-game operators who frequently speaks in the third person, a quirk that will make players chuckle at least once.
7
Carver
Faction: Crimson One
If you’re a regular in Zombies Mode, Carver is probably the best choice for you. While he’s an average Joe in multiplayer, his lines in Zombies are hilarious. Furthermore, he has some exclusive dialogue in Terminus, and his back-and-forth interactions with Strauss are comical.

We’re still wondering about a few things in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
Being one of the four Dedicated Crew Members in Zombies gives Carver a huge edge in that mode. You get an enhanced story experience that reveals a unique insight into the characters, making them more likable. It’s just a shame that he’s not as vocal in the multiplayer modes.
6
Weaver
Faction: Rogue Black Ops
In many ways, you’ll find Weaver similar to Frank Woods. Alongside being a staple character in the original Black Ops, he’s incredibly intimidating with several creative insults. He also has an active role in the Terminus mission in Zombies, so you’ll often discover exclusive story-related dialogue.
One of the main reasons players will want to use him is his Zombie skin—the first major reward after unlocking Prestige One. While the skin itself is fairly tame compared to other undead designs, it symbolizes a milestone achievement and a taste of what’s to come.
5
Maya
Faction: Rogue Black Ops
While other operators tend to be humorous and playful, especially in Zombies, Maya typically acts serious and reserved. This distinct characteristic offers a good change of pace and tone, moving away from the cliche operator vibe. She occasionally cracks a few jokes, but not nearly on the same level.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s campaign is wide-open and full of details you might have missed.
Her skin collection has a diverse color palette and design that is neither too simplistic nor bloated. Her Prestige skin, in particular, is incredible and makes her look like a completely different operator, giving you further reason to climb the ranks.
4
Brutus
Faction: Crimson One
Playing as a villain is nothing new in Call of Duty, but playing as a recognizable zombie mob is. Brutus has one of the most visually distinct operator skins in Black Ops 6, surrounded by dynamic crackling lightning to make him stand out. It’s arguably the best this brute has looked since Black Ops 2.
Unfortunately, his voice lines, albeit brilliantly delivered, are rather basic and underwhelming. They’re either too direct or rarely exceed four or five words. As such, while he’s a treat to look at, with several minor details from previous Black Ops iterations, he’s not interesting enough to listen to.
3
Adler
Faction: Rogue Black Ops
Adler has slowly become a memorable character in the series despite only appearing in the last two Black Ops titles. His performance in Black Ops: Cold War was stellar, and he maintains a solid track record in Black Ops 6.

While his voice lines are slightly cheesier compared to the other operators, they fit well with his CIA background. He also makes a few notable references to Bell, which is a nice callback to the previous Black Ops title. The only issue is his exclusive skin, which, although visually stunning with cybernetic enhancements, hides his recognizable facial scars.
2
Klaus
Faction: Crimson One
When it comes to having a personality, despite being a robot, Klaus does it better than anyone. He’s the most used Vault Edition skin in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, and you can see why after looking at the sheer bodily details. Thanks to his synthetic voice, he’s exceptionally fun to listen to, and his lines in Zombies will actually make you laugh.
The best way to describe Klaus is that he’s a theatrical killing machine. His European accent further adds to his witty and clever dialogue, and he’s arguably the most intriguing operator in the game, even though he’s largely connected to the Zombies Mode exclusively.
1
Woods
Faction: Rogue Black Ops
Alex Mason and Frank Woods have been the iconic duo of the Black Ops series since Black Ops 1, so it’s no surprise that Woods stands alone as the most popular operator in this iteration. His voice lines are as you’d expect—gritty, bold, energetic, and seasoned with profanity. If you were worried Black Ops 6 would tone down his charisma, it certainly hasn’t.
The real highlight here is his Numbers Woods skin, which references the immortalized “the numbers, Mason” quote from the original Black Ops. The glitchy design is extremely unique, and when you pair it with Woods’ taunting nature, it’s a great match.
