Best Dragonite Deck Build In Pokemon TCG Pocket

The key thing to remember when building a deck around Dragonite is your strategy. Unlike many other cards in Pokemon TCG Pocket’sGenetic Apex set, the Dragon Type doesn’t have many Supporter/Item cards that can help them in battle. For this reason, when building a Dragonite deck, the best idea is to build around a stalling strategy, including cards that can slow down your opponent until you’re able to successfully get Dragonite set up and ready to dish out damage.

Weezing is the best choice when it comes to stalling enemy Pokemon, as it is a reliable stall pick through the Gas Leak ability and 110 HP, and pairs well with Koga to prolong its time played while you charge Dragonite up with Energies. Alongside Weezing, the Sabrina card enables you to disrupt your opponent by forcing a switch of their active Pokemon for one on their bench, also adding some delay to help set up Dragonite.

Once Dragonite is in play, Draco Meteor can deal up to 200 damage in a single turn and may hit not just your opponent’s active Pokemon, but also cards on their bench, splitting the attack by 50 damage per successful coin flip out of four. The downside to this is that you have less control over focus-firing the attack on a particular target, meaning it will likely take multiple turns to clear cards from your opponent’s side. However, if you are able to restrict your opponent from playing a full bench, this attack will also become increasingly effective, splitting the damage between fewer targets and therefore increasing the chances of knocking more cards out in a single hit, or two turns maximum.
