Fortnite Reload got a new map with the launch of Remix in the main game. Unlike standard Battle Royale though, Fortnite Reload was set to have more than one map live at once. Embracing map rotation for the first time in Fortnite’s history. However, the Fortnite reload map rotation has been delayed. Rather than arriving as originally planned, the game is instead switching back to the old map.
The new Reload map has been a fun addition to the game. That it was getting map rotation seemed even better. A variety of maps to play in the chaotic mode. However, the feature isn’t arriving as soon as we‘d thought. It has become the second feature delayed this week. When can we expect the Fortnite Reload map rotation to arrive now that it has been delayed?
Fortnite Reload Map Rotation Delayed in New Update
The latest Fortnite update added new content to Remix, like the Ice Spice POI. However, other modes haven’t fared as well. While this was planned to be the update that brought in map rotation, it was disabled before hitting the game.
Reload seems to be having a few issues with maps right now. immediately when the new one was added, we saw it turned off as it was leading to a blank screen. Other users have found even after the fixes, Reload occasionally spawns everyone into a small plain platform for a pickaxe fight rather than a real game. Now, we’ve had the Reload map rotation delayed. If it prevents the frustration of being unable to play that we’ve seen recently, it’s good to see it pushed back.
In the meantime, the original map is going to be the only one available. Once map rotation is back online, we’ll see it start to rotate between the two. Be aware games are being played on the first map for now though, especially if you’ve been looking at Reload events or potentially Fortnite betting on these cups. For now, players are back to the original version of Reload with the new loot of the latest updates instead.
