How to Use Chimera Wings in Dragon Quest 3 Remake:

Chimera Wings are a basic item in Dragon Quest 3 Remake, which can only be used while in the field, not in combat. While in a town or enemy location, even the depths of a dungeon, the players can use a Chimera Wing like any other item.

Head into the item menu by pressing X (Y or Triangle/Xbox – PS5), and enter your item bag. There is no need to keep Chimera Wings in the inventory of a specific party member, because they cannot be used during combat. Select the Chimera Wing from your inventory, then select use.

Once you do this, a list of available locations will come up. Currently, it appears that all major settlements and enemy locations are on the list. Remember, however, that you must visit a location before it becomes available as a fast-travel destination.

How to Get and Use Zoom in Dragon Quest 3 Remake:

Zoom is a mid-level spell that the Hero, Mages, and Sages can unlock in Dragon Quest 3 Remake. Spells can only be acquired when you reach the correct level, and the current level for the Hero to unlock Zoom is 14. Mages and Sages will unlock Zoom slightly earlier, at level 12. Purchase Chimera Wings:

DQ3-Store-Menu

Chimeras Wings are a consumable item, and as such, must be found or purchased in the world. The easiest and most reliable place to find Chimera Wings is at the general stores in most settlements. You’ll know a settlement has a store when you see the wing symbol on the map.

Most stores carry Chimera Wings for 25 Gold.

Loot Chimera Wings:

There are many places in the game world where players may find a Chimera Wing. Here is a list:

  • Treasure Chests and Buried Treasure: These can be found in towns, outposts, and enemy dungeons by searching in the various alcoves and dead ends along the path. Make sure to thoroughly search every corner, because even when you can’t clearly see a chest, that doesn’t mean there’s no treasure. Sometimes you’ll even find buried treasure, which is only discovered by walking over the exact location. Treasure Chests are sometimes dropped by enemies at the end of a combat encounter. These chests can contain Chimera Wings as well.
  • Barrels and Pots: These items can also be found in just about every type of settlement, both indoor and out. Approach a barrel or pot to interact with them. Chimera Wings are one of many items that can be found this way, so it is always worth checking.
  • Loot Deposits: When you are traveling in the open world between settlements, you will sometimes see a sparkling object. Interact with these sparkles to loot an item deposit, which will always contain an assortment of items.
