How To Feed Animals & Play Fetch With Dog In Lego Horizon Adventures

Lego Horizon Adventures is an action-adventure game centered around Aloy and her friends as they work to save their Village and its inhabitants. Players frequently return to Mother’s Heart, where new buildings and structures unlock, granting access to additional features and cosmetics.

Early in the game, a Community Board is introduced, allowing players to tackle jobs posted by villagers. These jobs are small challenges completed during combat missions or within the Village itself. Among the many Community Jobs, Dogsitting and Animal Catering stand out for being slightly more complex. Here’s a guide to completing them and earning free Gold Bricks.

How To Complete Animal Catering In Lego Horizon Adventures

Animal Catering is a community job posted by Kurnst that is available early in the game. Its description states:

It’s my turn to feed the village chickens, but I’m busy working on my designs for next week’s Comically-Shaped Lanterns competition. Can someone cover for me? Don’t forget to build a Chicken Coop for the feed!

Your objective is to feed animals 10 times, which requires two Plots. There are two ways to complete this job:

  1. Chicken Coop Method: Early in the game, place a Chicken Coop on one Plot and a Market Stall nearby. The Market Stall periodically drops Carrots, which you can pick up and place near the Chickens. Once a Chicken eats a Carrot, it counts toward the job progress.
  2. Dog Shelter Method: Later in the game, after unlocking the Dog Shelter, you can build it and feed the Dog by throwing Carrots or Bananas directly to it.

The second method is faster since the Dog eats immediately, unlike Chickens that roam around before eating.

Completing the Animal Catering Job rewards you with three Gold Bricks.

Dogsitting is a Community Job posted by Marea, which becomes available after you have collected 80 Gold Bricks. Its description states:

I got invited to a two day all-inclusive mindfulness workshop and need an animal-lover to keep my dog company. He loves playing fetch, so you’ll need to build something that gives you bones!

Fans of Lego games with Co-op must play fetch three times with the dog, but you first need to find bones to use. This can be confusing at first, as the game usually mentions which Yard to build for completing Jobs. By the time this Job unlocks, you should have three available Plots near the Community Board for placing Yards.

Assign one Plot to an Animal Shelter and another to a Skull Dungeon nearby. The Skull Dungeon spawns a roaming Zombie, which drops a bone when attacked. Pick up the bone and throw it to the dog. Repeat this process three times to complete the Job. Completing it rewards you with two Gold Bricks.
