With a game as densely packed with detail as Dragon Age: The Veilguard, it can be easy to miss things while you’re focusing on more important pursuits like flirting with Harding again. It’s ok. The ancient gods bent on corrupting the world can wait.

8 Games To Play If You Like Dragon Age: The Veilguard
There are plenty of fantasy worlds with bald antagonists.
But it’s also worth it to check out some of those dark corners and unassuming hallways you might otherwise have just waltzed on by. Whether for hidden treasure or one heck of a view, you might want to do a little more exploring on your next outing to find a few of the game’s best-kept secrets.

The Music Room
This Close To Solas Inviting You To His Band’s Gig
When you find yourself at the Lighthouse, your base of operations in The Veilguard, you might think that you’ve already seen pretty much everything after your first quick jaunt through the area. But even early on, you can unlock an interesting room that helps flesh out the place’s character.
Solve the statue puzzle at the Lighthouse, and a stone passage will open in the main chamber leading to the Music Room. Along with a gorgeous piano and the perfect golden hour lighting, it also includes some treasure and a codex entry. Plus, you might want to take note of that other suspicious-looking door for later.

Felis Forum
Cat Cafes Close For No Apocalypse
While exploring Dock Town in Minrathous, you might notice a little area just out of reach with a cat sitting on a windowsill. Try as you might, you just can’t reach it. But don’t lose heart, as your patience will be well worth it.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard has a lot of hidden areas and secret locations, but which ones are worth tracking down?
As the game progresses, you can return later to find the door to the establishment finally open, revealing an interesting location called the Felis Forum. As the name suggests, it appears to be a hangout for all the cats in Dock Town, and yes, you can pet them.

Dellamorte Estates Statue Puzzle
The Best Thing You Could Find In An Assassin’s Yard
While roaming around the distinguished Antivan metropolis of Treviso just imagining what sorts of enchanting coffee smells permeate the streets, you might feel the urge to beat down some of the Antaam occupying forces. It’s an understandable compulsion.
But if you keep going past one of these groups near the center of the map, you’ll eventually find yourself at Dellamorte Estates. Yes, just like your disaster bi assassin buddy Lucanis Dellamorte. Aside from being a gorgeous courtyard, it also includes a statue puzzle that’s well worth figuring out for some really nice treasure.

Rivaini Waterfall Treasure
Always Check Behind The Waterfall
This tiny secret is really only easy to miss if you don’t happen to have Taash with you, and come on, you’re going to have Taash with you. But it’s still kind of blink-and-you-miss-it. In the first area of the Rivain Coast right after you meet them, you’ll see a waterfall off to the side.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard – Every Region, Ranked
Dragon Age: The Veilguard takes you across far flung regions of Thedas, but which one is the very best for Rook and the team to visit?
Of course, since this is a video game and you’re a clever little video game champion, you’ve probably already got the “check behind every waterfall” itch embedded in your very soul. But even if you miss it, Taash will dutifully suggest taking a look in that perfectly deadpan manner of theirs. Treasure, some resources, and a sense of fulfilled gamer rules await you in that nook.

The Sheltered Glade Chest
How Did The Wardens Miss This One?
The Hossberg Wetlands are already an unfortunate location from the blighted landscape to just the oddly squishy-sounding name itself. So you already might not be particularly inclined to pay very close attention to its bloaty details, and that’s even before you have to fight a haunted scarecrow.
But you might have seen a ladder off to the side in the Sheltered Glade area as you attempted to hold back your dry heaving. You’ll find some statues there (this game loves its statue puzzles). Make them each face a nearby torch to open a door to some loot that may or may not be worth the inevitable showers you’ll feel obligated to take later.

A Picturesque Waterfall Respite
The Treasure Behind This Waterfall Is You
Not every hidden spot needs a tangible reward to be worth the trouble. While exploring Arlathan Forest, you can find a little walkway off to the southeast that circles around behind a waterfall. That’s it, that’s the secret.

Learn all about the best locations to visit in the Dragon Age series!
You can find a little resource-gathering spot there, sure, but the whole point here is the vibes. Just standing there, enjoying the soothing water sounds and breathtaking rainbows shimmering through the falls can be very much worth putting your controller down for just a bit of relaxation. At least until Taash starts bothering Emmrich about being a “skull-liker” again.
2
The Memorial Garden Balcony
If Your Grave Doesn’t Have Secret Treasure, Step It Up
During a quest with your delightful Scorpio romance bait necromancer Emmrich, he’ll take you to the Memorial Garden in the Necropolis Halls. This place is hauntingly breathtaking in the best way, and would absolutely be an ideal hangout for any goth kids in the Dragon Age universe.
This highly respectful graveyard contains plenty of secrets alongside its interesting lore for Mournwatch players. But one in particular can be tough to reach. A chest stands above the entrance to the Garden, and to find it, you must enter a portal inside a nearby mausoleum surrounded by fog. You’ll be rewarded with the treasure and a view to die for (and probably be resurrected as a helpful corpse).

The Wolf’s Den
The Perfect Spot For An Egg To Brood
If a good view is all the reward you need, then look no further than the Wolf’s Den in the Lighthouse. Do you remember that one secret passage leading to the Music Room on one side of the main room? Well, it stands to reason that the other side holds its own hidden surprise as well. Symmetry is a beautiful thing.
Continue making your way through the Music Room with the help of a new wisp found upstairs outside, and another puzzle involving those fun beam things will eventually unlock the other doorway. This will bring you to the highest point of the Lighthouse, along with a new monument to display in the courtyard and a balcony with the best view of the whole place.
