Dungeon Inn‘s imminent Steam release is being commemorated by a launch trailer, which Game Rant can now exclusively reveal. The 86-second video illustrates how Dungeon Inn will revolve around managing a cute establishment for adventurers run by ambitious innkeeper Sara. The main problem with Sara’s business model is that she’s advertising her inn to everyone, meaning she has a dangerous tendency to rent lodgings to members of two rivaling guilds simultaneously. Making sure these competing groups don’t cross paths with each another will be crucial for keeping the clientele happy and profits maximized.

Dungeon Inn’s Gameplay Loop Combines Several Genres

Dungeon Inn will hence combine elements of management sims and turn-based puzzlers alike. If things go wrong and a fight between guests breaks out, players will have to pick a side and hope for the best. The initial version of Dungeon Inn will feature 16 stages, over 80 guests, and more than 100 events. This should make it fairly replayable from day one, as players will have full control over decisions on when to welcome new guests and when and where to expand or upgrade their fine establishment.

Cat Society estimates that a single playthrough of the day-on version of the game will take between five and eight hours. As is usually the case with early access titles, the South Korean studio will be soliciting player feedback that will shape the development of Dungeon Inn moving forward. The current plan is for the game to be in early access for about a year before being treated to a full-fledged release circa late 2025.

The full version of the game will have a complete story, more events, additional guests, and extra quests, among other novelties. In the meantime, Dungeon Inn‘s preview build is scheduled to launch on Steam circa 2pm ET on November 13. In doing so, the colorful strategy management game will add to the ever-growing list of cozy indie titles that are currently in early access.
