What is there to do in the town of the dead? As it turns out, an awful lot. Ravenwood, the town introduced in The Sims 4: Life and Death, is a town filled with life among death. Here the Sims do not live in fear, but instead live life to the fullest. This philosophy has influenced their festivals.
The festivals in Life and Death are some of the best in the game. They are filled with colorful activities, beautiful decorations, and an overarching theme of celebrating life to the fullest. These are all the festivals in The Sims 4: Life and Death, ranked.

Crow’s Crossing Celebration Of Life
It’s The Circle Of Life
Sometimes the thought of planning a funeral can be absolutely overwhelming, or perhaps the grief of somebody’s death is still lingering after the event. Or perhaps you just want to remember somebody. The Crow’s Crossing Celebration of Life festival is a festival designed for remembering the dead, no matter how you feel about them.

One of the only ways to deal with grief is by talking about it. At this festival Sims are welcome to talk about whoever and whatever they would like. While it isn’t as in-depth as other festivals, the sentiment behind the Crow’s Crossing Celebration of Life cannot be denied. For those who don’t feel like holding a funeral, or those who simply want to remember somebody who has passed, the the Crow’s Crossing Celebration of Life is open for all.

Try Before You Die Casket Sale
Might As Well Like It, You’ll Be Here A While
The Sims in Ravenwood are macabre creatures, even by goth standards. It isn’t every town that has a ‘Try Before You Die Casket Sale’. But they sure do! The Try Before You Die Casket Sale is a mini-festival dedicated to getting a good deal, even in death.
Sims are welcome to stop by Ravenwood to check out what caskets are for sale. They will be at a discounted rate here so if your Sims are really interested in a deal (or, like the Ancient Egyptians, want to build their tomb before they die) they can snag a casket for any casket related needs. Sims can sleep in caskets so it can even be used before death. And the frugal vampire will no doubt appreciate the lowered costs.
Simply talk to the mortician in Ravenwood to get started with shopping. Remember Sims: Memento Mori. You will die. But that doesn’t mean you can’t do it on a budget.

Full Moon Revelry
When The Moon Is Round
Lunar celebrations have existed across the world for centuries, and the Sim world is no exception. The Full Moon Revelry is a festival dedicated to, well, the full moon. Other expansions, most notably the Werewolves game pack, have played with the in-game lunar cycle. But the Full Moon Revelry offers a celebration of the celestial unseen before.
Sims who attend this festival are welcome to enjoy the full moon any way they’d like. Many Sims choose to moonbathe, and some even go totally nude while dancing under the sky. Some Sims even take it a step further and jump into the local river naked. For those who prefer a warmer way to spend the evening, bonfires are set up to sit around.
Sims are welcome to chat and dance around the flames as the stars swirl overhead and the moon sits round. While it isn’t as connected to Death as the other festivals are, that isn’t a bad thing. The Full Moon Revelry is all about life, and there cannot be Death without Life (it’s kind of in the expansion pack’s name). The Full Moon Revelry is a decadent and delightful festival of fun, and is well worth the experience. Just make sure you remember where you left your clothes at the end of the night.

Afterlife Anonymous
My Name’s Sim And I’m Dead
Sometimes crossing over to the other side can be easier said than done. Death is a traumatic event for Sims, including the Sim who died. For those who need a little more help coming to terms with the whole being dead thing, Afterlife Anonymous is here to help. Afterlife Anonymous is a festival in theory, but it functions more like a support group. Ghosts from all over Ravenwood – and from the Sim world as a whole – come together to give each other care and support over snacks.
Here, ghosts are free to open up about anything and everything that is bothering them. Sims can just listen to others talk, or they can share their own thoughts or feelings – whatever they want to do is perfectly fine. The living are even allowed to look in on this event, so Emotional Support Humans are more than welcome.
This festival is simple, but it is a celebration of how important community can be. The therapeutic process is hard, and no doubt it’s even harder when you’re dead. It isn’t shameful to get help, and this festival is a wonderful reminder of that. Afterlife Anonymous reminds ghost Sims that it’s okay to seek help – even (and especially) after Death.
2
Ravenwood Family Day
Family Friendly Freaky Fun
The Sims 4 is heavily oriented around the family. No matter what form a family takes, it is defined by people who love and care about each other (ideally). The Ravenwood Family Day is a celebration of family life in Ravenwood – albeit with a Ravenwood twist.

Here’s what you can expect in the Storybook Nursery Kit for The Sims 4.
Ravenwood Family Day takes place in Crow’s Crossing main square. Many families choose to wear cute crow costumes to the festival, but it isn’t mandatory (but still very fun to do). Sims of all ages are welcome to have fun and play together with events such as the Frog Finder Contest, where families can compete to find the most frogs in the fountain. Children might enjoy playing with the local specters on the playground while older members of the families look at the Crow Handler’s crows.
But for those who want to take care of their family even after death there are other things to do. An Inheritance Lawyer is on the scene ready to discuss heirlooms and wills with anyone who is concerned. No matter what you chose to do, your Sims will go home happy from Crow’s Corner. Ravenwood Family Day is a reminder of the importance of family on both sides of the grave.
1
Thinned Festiveil
When The Veil Is Thin
The realm between the living and the dead is thinner in Ravenwood then anywhere else in the Sim world, so a celebration of that weak boundary was almost guaranteed to pop up. The Thinned Festiveil is a festival dedicated to the links between ghosts and Sims. While there, Sims are welcomed to grab some Tarot readings and see what fate has in store while dancing to the spooky songs of the dead.

In recent years, the Grim Reaper’s employees, the Grimterns, have shown up to give a bit of an explanation about what they do. For those interested in joining the Reaper career introduced in the Life and Death expansion, this could be the chance you’ve been looking for. You can even play the Game of Chance with them if you’re willing to take the risk of gambling with Death.
But the main focus is the Guardian Tree. This massive tree in the center of Ravenwood is a huge part of their town’s history and lore, and it is tradition to offer the tree a gift on the Thinned Festiveil. A lucky few might even get a blessing from the Guardian Tree. The Thinned Festiveil is a chaotic and charming time in Ravenwood, and is well worth a visit.
