Life Is Strange: 13 Most Underrated Characters In The Series

Life is Strange has a whole host of interesting characters, but here are some you probably overlooked.

Some of these characters will serve as love interests and friends, while others will be antagonists and road blocks. Regardless of their role in the plot, each character offers something unique to the game, and some are certainly better than others. These are eight of the best characters in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure.

8

Reggie

Reggie is one of the minor characters you can interact with in the story. As one of Max’s students at Caledon, he feels like the typical college kid who’s still trying to figure himself out. Reggie is often seen trying to make a name for himself, particularly in the school’s social group, Abraxas.

He’s a nice guy who struggles with a lack of self-confidence. He’s a bit too concerned with how he’s perceived and his reputation at Caledon. His most significant contributions to the plot are seeing his double by the observatory, watching the projector at Krampus, and romancing Vihn once he gets the chance to.

7

Diamond

Like Reggie, Diamond is another minor character in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure. She’s a teaching assistant at Caledon, running against Vihn for the position of Abraxas president. Diamond wants to lead Abraxas to bring the group back to its original purpose, which she says is promoting activism and art.

When she isn’t campaigning against Vihn, Diamond spends much of her time with Reggie and Moses, and sometimes provides Max with much-needed information to further the plot. Though she’s a more minor character in the main story, the ending of Chapter Five suggests she’ll have a more significant role in the next game.

6

Gwen

Gwen is easily one of the most remarkable characters in the game. She’s a strong-willed and honest literature professor at Caledon, who seems to be loved by all her students. She’s also a renowned memoir author with one of the best book titles in the game: If the Highway Should Take Me As Its Wife.

Life Is Strange: Double Exposure – How To Find All Evidence Box Clues

As Max attempts to solve the mystery, some clues are more difficult to find than others.

Though we learn Gwen had Safi’s book deal canceled in the Dead World, she seemed to have good intentions in doing so. After all, she was trying to protect Safi and Yasmin. Despite being fired for a crime she didn’t commit, Gwen doesn’t try to fight the accusation. She’s self-assured and recognizes that there are bigger and better things in store for her elsewhere.

5

Amanda

Amanda is one of Max’s two love interests. A bartender at the Snapping Turtle, Amanda seems to get along with pretty much everyone. At one point in the story, Vihn will describe Amanda as being “principled,” which tends to be an accurate description.

Amanda sets boundaries with Max early in the game after learning about Safi’s death, realizing Max isn’t in the proper headspace for a relationship. She also holds Max accountable if she chooses to romance her again in the Living World. She’s an emotionally intelligent character who’s aware of her strengths and weaknesses. She cares for the people in her life while also protecting her peace.

4

Vihn

Part of what makes Vihn an interesting character is his aura of mystery. At first, he seems like he could be a potential enemy, but he proves to be a strong asset in Max’s social circle. As the president of Abraxas, Vihn seems to know everything about everyone, even when he probably shouldn’t.

Though he can be fiery, headstrong, and a solid ally, Vihn could also be cowardly and selfish. His personality also makes him an interesting character to romance. He’s very flirtatious with Max, which leads to fun banter between them.

3

Safi

Safi is a tough character to assess. She starts off as Max’s best friend, joining her on photography adventures and hanging out under the stars. She even shares a few qualities with Chloe from the first Life Is Strange.

How Long Does It Take To Beat Life Is Strange: Double Exposure?

Here’s how long it takes to beat Life Is Strange: Double Exposure!

Early in the game, you’ll perceive her as a victim. After all, she is shot and killed in Chapter One. But, as you do your detective work in the Living World, you unravel a hidden side of Safi that only her enemies have witnessed. You learn that she can be extremely impulsive, selfish, and conniving. Overall, she’s a complex character straddling the line between protagonist and antagonist.

2

Moses

As one of the main characters in Life Is Strange: Double Exposure, Moses is the easiest to like. He’s kind, intelligent, and honest. He’s never afraid to tell people how he’s feeling. And though he was initially Safi’s best friend, he and Max end up creating a strong bond.

He’s one of the few characters Max can rely on as a confidant. Moses knows Max has powers, and his scientific mind makes him more open to believing her, even after seeing that incriminating photo of her. He’s also very vulnerable about the grief he’s feeling.

1

Max

Max Caulfield, this game’s main protagonist, and the series’ original protagonist, is a fan favorite by default. She’s a kind character that cares deeply for everyone around her. She’s also much more self-aware in this game. She admits to how nosey she is and accepts that she enjoys meddling in everyone’s business.

Max also has more self-confidence in this game and is adamant not to repeat the same mistakes she’s made in the past. Though her sense of humor can be occasionally cringeworthy, it’s a small price to pay for a well-rounded protagonist.
