In Planet Coaster 2, Career mode is a way for players to challenge themselves and their ability to maintain a park by completing various Objectives with different modifications and situations on each scenario. Planet Coaster 2 career mode is split into several Chapters containing a handful of Scenarios, each of which presents players with a different park, a different problem, and a different set of tasks.

How To Increase Profit In Planet Coaster 2
To increase your profits in Planet Coaster 2, players need to make some hard choices to keep their budgets trim.
As you complete tasks you will earn Bronze, Silver, Gold, and finally the Platinum Medal for that scenario. After completing the Prologue scenarios, which introduces players to the mechanics of Planet Coaster 2, Parks and Restoration will become available. As the first scenario of Planet Coaster 2, Parks and Restoration’s objectives are mostly straightforward, but if you don’t set up your park well before trying to go for Platinum objectives, you may have to restart the scenario.
Bronze Medal Objectives & Strategies
Build A Food Shop Facility
- Look in the Facilities tab and click on the food shop filter.
- Place any food shop next to a path, then open it to complete this objective.
Hire 1 Janitor & 1 Mechanic
- Click on the “Staff” tab at the bottom of your screen to find a list of all Staff positions you can hire.
- Click on the Janitor and Mechanic buttons, then place them anywhere in your Park (preferably near high-traffic areas and rides/machinery, respectively).
Complete Ride: Gomkuva
- Click on the “Go To Ride” button to find Gomkuva, the first Roller Coaster of four you must fix to finish this Scenario.
- Open up the Coaster Editor and follow the track from start to finish to find breaks.
- Fill in the gaps on the track with custom rails, or the auto-complete tool when selecting one side of a gap.
- If you start from the beginning and follow the roller coaster’s normal direction, auto-complete will usually finish the gap perfectly.
- Once you have filled in all gaps on the roller coaster track, place Generators and Distributors to power the ride.
- Keep these two facilities out of the view of guests, as it can lower your overall Scenery rating.
- Set Gomkuva to Test, then wait for the test to finish. In the meantime, connect the Entrance Queue and Exit paths to the coaster.
- Once the Test finishes, Open the ride to complete this objective.

Planet Coaster 2: Best 8 New Rides, Ranked
Of the dozens of new rides Planet Coaster 2 players can place down, these eight are the best Planet Coaster rides for a few reasons.
Build Two Flat Rides
- Look for the Flat Rides tab at the bottom of your screen and open it up to find all the Flat Ride blueprints available to you.
- Find an open area of your park – to the left of the main path leading into the park is a good spot, as it’s clear of any scenery and can fit two Flat Rides.
- Choose any two different Flat Rides (not two Teacups, for example) and place them down, along with entrance and exit paths.
- You can also choose non-Blueprint Flat Rides and customize them yourself from scratch. Blueprints come with Scenery, though, which can smooth out the later stages of this career stage.
- Choosing two different Flat Rides instead of two of the cheapest will help your Attraction Variety later on.
Ride Scenery Rating Of 2000 For Any Ride
- If you use one of the more elaborate Flat Rides for the previous objective, you should automatically get this objective completed as well.
- Once you open the Gomkuva coaster, this ride should almost meet the 2000 Scenery Rating required, too.
- Place down a few more Scenery objects and check your Scenery Score on the coaster to keep track and avoid building more than necessary.
Silver Medal Objectives & Strategies
Build 3 Flat Rides Total
- For this objective, simply add another Flat Ride somewhere in the park.
- The best place to put this third one is either on the path on the cliffs above the starting zone, or alongside your other two Flat Rides next to the entrance path.
- Make sure once again to create another Distributor and, if necessary, a Generator to power your new Flat Ride.
- Create the entrance/exit paths, test the ride, and set it to Open to complete this task.
Complete Ride: Veteenti Donc
- This second coaster that must be fixed up is just like the first – click on the Go To Ride button to find it in the park
- Using the Coaster Editor, go through the course and fix any missing rails or gaps in the ride
- Once again, the Auto Complete tool will automatically finish each gap correctly, if you follow the ride’s normal direction
- Once you have fixed the missing pieces of the ride, power it, attach entrance and exit queues, and Test the ride.
- Once the Test has complete, set the ride to Open

How To Make A Pool In Planet Coaster 2
A new feature in Planet Coaster 2, pools allow players to create water parks within their Theme Park, but you need to set them up correctly.
Build A New Coaster
- For this task, you can either build a coaster from scratch or place down a Coaster from the Blueprints tab.
- For the purposes of finishing this Scenario quickly, choose a Blueprint Coaster that’s cheap and low-to-medium Testing stats
- Place your new Coaster in a place it will fit near a path – the open space above the cliffs near the entrance is a decent spot, but you can also make a custom one that goes over the cliffside to save some space
- Like with the other Coasters, ensure your new ride has power, has been tested, and has entrance and exit paths to allow guests in.
- Set the Coaster to Open to complete this objective
Gold Objectives & Strategies
Build 5 Flat Rides Total
- The first task of the Gold medal objectives is to construct an additional 2x Flat Rides.
- For the sake of variety, make sure these two new Rides are not the same as other existing Flat Rides in your park
- To get guests moving around your park, place these two Flat Rides relatively far away from the rest of your early attractions – like next to Drewst Roda
Complete Ride: Drewst Roda
- To complete Drewst Roda, follow the same steps as in previous scenario Coaster objectives
- Fix the missing pieces of the ride in Edit Mode, create a path for the entrance and exit, Power it, then Test and set it to Open
- This is the last of the four fixer-upper Coasters in this Scenario that can be completed with nothing but Auto Complete
Build A New Coaster
- Once again, you must build another new Coaster.
- Avoid using the same Coaster Type as your other new Coaster from the Silver objectives if you are building a Custom Coaster
- Consider, instead, going for something completely the opposite: if you had a Kids’ Coaster, go for an Extreme one (or the other way around) to appeal to new guests
- Ensure it’s powered, pathed, has balanced rider statistics, and Test and turn it to Open
- Place this Coaster near your other two Flat Rides, and consider placing some more Guest Services in this area while you are at it
- Later on, you must hit certain income and rating requirements to beat this Scenario, so get set up right and make a new Guest hub near your new Coaster and Flat Rides

8 Beginner Tips For Planet Coaster 2
Follow these Planet Coaster 2 beginner tips to learn the basics of this deceptively complex theme park simulator game.
Ride Scenery Rating Of 2500 For Any Ride
- If you use a Blueprint Flat Ride or Coaster for any previous task, you should automatically complete this Goal (for most big Blueprint rides)
- If you would prefer to build your Scenery from scratch, just be sure to add new Scenery to the ride’s Scenery Group for it to count towards that ride’s Scenery Rating
Run An Advertising Campaign For Retail Ravers
- Click on the “Park Management” tab and then click “Finances”
- Click the “Advertising” tab in this menu to open up your advertising possibilities
- Look for the “Retail Ravers” advertising campaign, and set it to its minimum required amount to save some cash and get this Objective done quickly
- You must have 9x Daily Returning Guests, as well as a Gift Shop, Food Shop, and Drink Shop in the park with Scenery, to unlock this advertising campaign
Platinum Objectives & Strategies
Complete Ride: Glenk Rokkota (Min. 858m Length)
- This Coaster cannot be completed the same way as others in the Parks & Restoration scenario – Planet Coaster 2 players have to add onto the length of this track to complete this Career objective.
- You must reach a total length of 858m to complete this objective, which cannot be done just by using Auto Complete
- Complete some of the smaller, obvious gaps with Auto Complete. On the right side of the coaster, you should see a 180-degree bend with two gaps.
- This is a good spot to create extra length, as you can use the curvature of the track to lead into an extension going beyond the coaster’s normal bounds that curves back into the bowl.
- One way to add a lot of track to this coaster is to go underground. Bend the track downward into the terrain and, when you construct the next portion, it should automatically terraform a tunnel around the track.
- Make this underground track go all the way around the layout of Glenk Rokkota then come back up back where you began the extension – just be careful not to lose too much momentum down there.
- Once you have successfully added enough length to the track, and completed the track circuit so there are no gaps, it should put a Check by the Length requirement. You have not met the Length requirement if this does not tick upon completing the track.
- When it’s long enough, add power facilities and entrance and exit paths, test the Coaster, then set it to Open to complete this objective
Have 70% Of Guests (Min 3000) In A Good Mood
- To complete this goal, you must improve facilities, add more variety to your rides, and generally make the guest experience as good as possible with various mechanics
- You can check your overall Guest happiness percentage in the objectives tab, which also highlights how many guests you have in the park
- The easiest way to increase Guest mood is to click on Guests randomly and see what their minor and major needs are (highlighted in yellow and red). Fix these problems to increase Guest mood for all guests with the same complaints.
- Guest mood does not increase quickly – this goal can be accomplished in the background as you focus on increasing your Profits and Park Rating
Reach $200,000 Daily Income
- To reach this goal, you will have to make some major adjustments around your park and min-max all of your possible sources of Profit
- Use Advertisements to bring in more guests to the park, who will spend more money
- Increase your overall Park Rating to attract Guests with deeper pockets, and make guests more willing to spend money within your park
- Set your Ride prices to Dynamic, which will automatically adjust the price based on the demand of the ride and typically results in higher average ticket prices
- Once your park has become more popular, consider adding an entrance fee – only a small one, as your Attractions should generate the most money
Reach 4.5 Star Park Rating
- To reach a 4.5 Star rating for your Park, Planet Coaster 2 players have to improve four major facets: the Ride Prestige, Scenery Rating, Unique Attractions, and Park Reputation
- Look for these four metrics in your Park Management screen under the Park Rating tab
- Focus on improving the lowest of these four stats first, as it is weighted more when calculating your Park Rating
- For most players, Attraction Prestige, Scenery Rating, and Unique Attractions will be your lowest at first
- Build more Scenery, especially around Attractions, and add more variety to your park to quickly raise your Park Rating
- Just like Guest Mood, this is not a change that happens instantly, so be prepared to manage your park carefully and slowly build up your reputation
