However, his comment suggests that they won’t be able to use the character until the Spider-Verse trilogy is complete. “Miles will appear in the third ‘Spider-Verse’ movie, which is in production. I hope that, shortly after that, he can enter the MCU in live-action,” Feige said.
If Marvel Studios can’t introduce a live-action Miles Morales to the MCU until after the Spider-Verse trilogy ends, fans could wait at least three years. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was initially scheduled to close out the trilogy when it was released in 2024, one year after the second film, Across the Spider-Verse, premiered. Avengers: Secret Wars could have been the perfect opportunity to feature a crossover between the MCU and Sony’s Spider-Verse, as the comics on which the film is based center on Marvel characters from different universes colliding. However, Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to be released in 2027, the earliest year Beyond the Spider-Verse is expected to premiere. So, it will likely be a while before Miles Morales (a new live-action version or the one from the Spider-Verse movies) joins the MCU.
