Metaphor: ReFantazio bounties will continue to get more challenging as you progress through the game. While some of the earlier ones are just strong enemies, later bounties will add additional layers of difficulty to force you to experiment more with the combat system and the options you’ve recently gotten.
The Fiend In The Frozen Forest will have players hunting down Icebeaast Chimenzahn, with this boss actually being two enemies at once. While this boss may seem difficult at first, the right preparations can make their best trick useless against your team.

Metaphor: ReFantazio – How To Check & Clear Bad Weather
Bad Weather can make a trip into a dungeon much more difficult than usual in Metaphor: ReFantazio; here’s how to check and clear bad weather.
- Recommended level 52-54.
- Recommended Archetypes: Pugilist, Berserker, Summoner, Masked Dancer.
- Skill Inheritance: Any party-wide healing spell put on the Masked Dancer, Dekunda on anyone, along with a very weak magic spell on whoever goes last in combat.
- Bring Mindbreak Hammer consumables.
Your Pugilist will start with the Crushing Fist Skill, and it’s best to also make sure you have Power Thrust, only a few levels later. Other than that, all other Archetypes will be perfect even at a low level as long as the above conditions are met. The enemy will use Makarakarn often, so the Mindbreak Hammer is good to cancel out the effect and get more press turn icons, though the enemy who casts Makarakarn will be your first target. Should you not have any Mindbreak Hammers, the very weak magic spell will need to be used on the Icebeast, though ideally at the end of the turn to dispel Makarakarn.

Montarian Spear Soldier will constantly cash Makarakarn on Icebeast Chimenzahn, so he will be your first target. During your first turn, hit Icebeast Chimenzahn with single target fire spells, while hitting Montarian Spear Soldier with any Strike attacks from Pugilist and Berserker, while also hitting both enemies with Summon Eagle Lion from the Summoner to also lower their attack. You should be able to do that all twice to set yourself up nicely right off the bat.
For the following turns, focus on taking down the Montarian Spear Soldier with Strike abilities, and use your magic casters as supports, using any Mindbreak Hammers from the Masked Dancer to get another Summong Eagle Lion off. That should be your go-to spell to make sure the enemy’s attack stays fully debuffed. Icebeast Chimenzahn will have multiple ice attacks that can hit your weaknesses and possibly give frostbite to someone, though the heavily lowered attack will still make your party’s match-up superior.
As Montarion Spear Soldier gets weak, he will sacrifice his health to heal Icebeast Chimenzahn and die, unless you finish him off yourself before this triggers. Without him, there will be no more Makarakarn, and you can focus purely on dealing damage. If you don’t have any Mindbreak Hammers, use the very weak spell as the last action of the turn to dispel Makarakarn for the last time. At this point, switch to using Power Thrust on the Pugilist to lower the boss’ health, while hitting both weaknesses with magic every turn. The Berserker can either deal additional damage with his best attacks, though the other three party members will mostly have this fight in the bag from here.
