With the release of Final Fantasy XIV patch 7.1, Dawntrail finally received its FFXIV x FFXI Alliance raid series, The Echoes of Vana’diel. Its first raid – Jeuno: The First Walk, a journey to familiar FFXI city.
This raid series will see the Warrior of Light interact with the character, antagonists, and locations of FFXIV older sibling, and Square Enix’s first Final Fantasy MMO, FFXI. But how do you unlock The Echoes of Vana’diel Alliance Raid Series in FFXIV? Don’t worry – we’ve got you covered.
How To Unlock The Echoes of Vana’diel Jeuno: The First Walk Raid In FFXIV
Before you play the Echoes of Vana’diel Alliance Raids there’s a few prerequisites. Obviously, you’ll first need to make sure you’ve purchased and completed Dawntrail’s main scenario quest. That means completing all the MSQ up to level 100, and beating the final quest, “Dawntrail.”
Next, you’ll need to at least level 100, the current Dawntrail level cap. And finally, you’ll need to have an average item level of at least 695. That means upgrading from the beginner level 100 gear into the tomestone gear at least. Which most players will have achieved by the release of FFXIV patch 7.1
Then head to Tuliyollal, Yok Toral, and speak to the Hoobigo messenger NPC ( (X: 13, Y: 11.6). This messenger will start the quest chain “An Otherworldly Encounter.” Progress through the quest to unlock Jeuno: The First Walk for yourself.
Completing the raid will continue The Echoes of Vana’diel story and unlock rewards for your character. It’ll also mean you’re ready for the rest of the raid series when it unlocks later this release cycle.
Jueno: The First Walk is a 24-man Alliance Raid which will reward gear, minions, and other rewards that act as ‘catch-up gear’ for those who missed out on the 8-man raid series gear. In other words, this is a great way to jump back into FFXIV: Dawntrail, one of the best MMO’s out there, if you’ve been lapsed for a while! And if you’re diving back into FFXIV, then our dedicated Final Fantasy XIV patch schedule can’t be beaten as a resource.
