You can access this area soon after reaching the Hossberg Wetlands from the starting point. However, if you have progressed further in the map, an alternative route will loop you back to this spot. In this guide, we have mentioned how to locate the Sheltered Glades statue puzzle and solve it to unlock the chest hidden behind the door.

Where Is The Sheltered Glades Statue Puzzle

Sheltered Glades Statue Puzzle location in Dragon Age The Veilguard

The Sheltered Glades statue puzzle can be reached by fast traveling to Hossberg Wetlands. From the starting point, continue walking down the stairs and take the road that leads to the east.

You will find several darkspawns impaled on the wooden spears opposite the Sheltered Glades statue puzzle and two raised stone platforms at the center of the puzzle area. Reach here and you will find the three stone statues on the top left platform that can be reached by climbing a ladder.

How To Solve The Sheltered Glades Statue Puzzle

To solve the Sheltered Glades statue puzzle, start by destroying three blight boils. Doing so will lower a ladder, allowing you to climb up and interact with the three shield-bearing statues.

To find the first blight boil, look at the top area near the stone statues. This blight boil cannot be destroyed with ranged attacks; instead, you will need Davrin’s Blight Hunter ability that calls Griffin for a quick attack. If Davrin is in your party, then he will call the Griffin after you give the command.

If not, then Rook will use the dagger of Solas and summon the Griffin to destroy the first blight boil.

Once the first blight boil is destroyed, another one to the left of it will become available but only for a few seconds. This one can be destroyed using ranged attacks, such as the Warrior class’s shield, from a distance. After that, the third blight boil can be seen at the ground level.

All three blight boils can easily be destroyed if you are standing at a vantage point. For this, there is a raised platform right in front of the Sheltered Glades statues, so we recommend you stand there and then easily break all the blight boils from there.

Correct Statue Order

After solving the first part of the puzzle, which is actually reaching it, now climb up and rotate the three statues in the correct order so that the door near the right side of the statue can open.

There are three braziers in this small area. One can be seen near the left statue, the second one can be seen on the wall on the right, at the far end, and the third one is found on the ground floor, where you destroyed the third blight boil.

The trick to solving the Sheltered Glades statue puzzle is to face all three statues towards the braziers and if done correctly, a green flame will light up, opening up the door containing the chest.

Here is the correct order to rotate the statues:

  • Rotate the left statue so that it faces west.
  • Rotate the middle statue so that it faces east.
  • Rotate the right statue so that it faces north.
