Brighter Shores has several professions for you to choose from on each map. While in Hopeport, you’ll be able to do a variety of classic MMO professions, including becoming a Chef. The Chef profession, as expected, requires you to make a variety of dishes in the kitchen.

Looking to become a Chef in Brighter Shores? In this guide, we are going to go over all you need to know about the Chef profession in Brighter Shores. This will include how to get started, as well as every recipe in the game. There are a total of 500 levels for the Chef profession, so the process of reaching max level will take a while.
Brighter Shores is currently in Early Access on Steam and as such, the content is subject to change. We will update these articles as required.
How To Start Cooking
You can get started cooking right away! To do so, head to The Delectable Dab Kitchen, which is found at the very back of The Delectable Dab. We’ve highlighted this on the map above; you can find it directly across from the Apothecary.
The kitchen in the back has a recipe book where you can see all of the recipes, as well as how to make them. In this room, you’ll also be able to find cooking stations and a bounty board (which unlocks at cooking level nine).
As a level zero Chef, you’ll only be able to make one thing; a Basic Bacon Sandwich. The ingredients for this can be purchased from Kevin, who is a merchant that stands in the street outside of The Delectable Dab. You’ll find yourself running back and forth from the kitchen to him quite often.
Head to Kevin to buy some bacon and bread, and then run back to the kitchen. You’ll need to fry up the bacon in a frying pan, and then prepare the sandwich at the preparation station. You’ll only gain experience for the final product; currently, frying the bacon does not yield any XP.
Do You Need Cooking Equipment?
Fortunately, you don’t need any tools of your own to cook. All that you need will be found inside The Delectable Dab Kitchen. Regardless of what level you are, you’ll use the following stations that level up as you progress.
- Preparation Table
- Ice Box
- Frying Pan
- Boiling Pot
- Chopping Table
- Batter Barrel
- Oven
- Grill
- Sauce Pan
- Deep Fryer
Do Dishes Upgrade?
Like other professions, the things that you make will upgrade as you level up. For example, new Chefs will only be able to make the Basic Bacon Sandwich, but once you reach Chef level 12, you’ll be able to make the Appetizing Bacon Sandwich. This used the same bread, but the bacon ingredient is of a higher quality (and more expensive).
This also applies to the cooking stations we’ve mentioned above. The preparation station won’t remain level zero forever! Soon, it will upgrade to become a higher-level station for quality dishes.
All Dishes In Brighter Shores
Now, let’s go over every recipe in Brighter Shores. In the expandable table below, you can check out every recipe that you can unlock as you level up.
Dishes with a blue circle are made passively (and require a knowledge point).
Every Dish Type And Its Ingredients
Lastly, let’s go over the ingredients for each main dish type. Above, you may have noticed that there are only a handful of dish types, like an omelette or stew. Regardless of the variation, all recipes in the category require the same general ingredients. For example, all omelettes need eggs, but the egg quality can differ.
Below, you can find each dish type, as well as the general ingredients and stations needed to make it.
