The Disneyland Resort will officially celebrate the holidays starting November 15, and the resort has just released another exciting update for guests planning to visit the parks within the next two months. Several new and returning entertainment offerings can be found throughout Disneyland until January, featuring a lineup of beloved characters and a meet and greet with Santa Claus.
Each year, the Disney parks transform from Halloween to Christmas overnight, although the official holiday season may not kick off until mid-November. The Christmas and holiday season at the Disney parks is always a magical time of year with decorations, special character meet and greets, and other magical experiences throughout the resort. For the last few months of the year, the iconic Haunted Mansion is transformed into Haunted Mansion Holiday, which features beloved characters and scenes from The Nightmare Before Christmas. This year, the holidays at Disneyland will run from November 15, 2024, through January 6, 2025.

The holiday season is the most magical, and busiest, time of the year at the Disney parks, and this year will be no different. The Disney entertainment offerings are almost always immersive and entertaining for guests of all ages, and with the inclusion of the Encanto and Coco-themed shows this year, the 2024 holiday season is not one to be missed. The grand opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure also takes place on November 15, so guests can expect large crowds in addition to seeing the Disney Christmas magic.
In addition to these exciting seasonal offerings, Disneyland is gearing up for an expansion of its Avengers Campus area, which will start construction early next year for the resort’s 70th anniversary. The resort also recently teased the return of “Paint the Night,” a popular nighttime electrical parade that first debuted at the park in 2015. It will undoubtedly be an exciting time to visit the Disneyland Resort over the next few months.
