All Zombies Power-Up & Their Effects

All Zombies Power-Up & Their Effects

Power-Ups have been a staple in Call of Duty Zombies since their debut in the very first map, Nacht der Untoten. Power-Ups have continued to elicit a sigh of relief when a Max Ammo drops, and frustration when a more useless Power-Up appears, but which of them makes the cut for Black Ops 6 Zombies?

Black Ops 6 has its own set of Zombies challenges with Dark Ops, which involve secret requirements to unlock showcase-worthy calling cards.

There are 9 Power-Ups in Black Ops 6 Zombies, and 8 of them are acquired as random drops from killing zombies, or by committing to the free secret Power-Ups scattered around Terminus and Liberty Falls. For those who want to see what every Power-Up in Black Ops 6 does, they can do so below.

Max Ammo

Refills Everyone’s Ammunition

Max Ammo is the classic Power-Up that everyone loves, and players who run into this glowing green beauty will find all of the ammo returned to the stock and magazine of both of their guns. Everyone in-game will receive the Max Ammo, and nobody needs to reload to maximize ammo gains, as bullets are immediately placed into the magazine. Max Ammos are somewhat common thanks to Ammo Boxes around the map for players to buy more ammo, and Max Ammo rounds with Parasites/Vermin occur every 5 to 6 rounds. It’s also worth noting that Max Ammo replenishes ammunition, and not charges for lethal and tactical equipment.

Double Points

Double Essence Gains for 30 Seconds

free double points on terminus

Double Points will provide players with a 30-second timer that will see them earn double Essence for every kill. All Essence gains are increased, so players can earn 200 Essence for going prone on Perk Machines, and effectively kill a horde of zombies through critical hits to receive 230 Essence instead of 115 per kill.

Insta-Kill

Kill Zombies in One-Hit for 30 Seconds, but Special & Elite Enemies Just Take More Damage

Insta-Kill gives players a 30-second window to kill everything in sight, as all zombies will have their HP reduced to 1. Any gun or any melee weapon will instantly kill a zombie, which is great for high-rounds where their health is dramatically increased, or just great in general for getting easy critical hit kills for zombie camos. However, Insta-Kill does not work on Special and Elite enemies, but it does increase the damage that Manglers take, as well as Amalgams and Abominations, so they are far easier to kill.

Fire Sale

All Mystery Boxes Spawn in and Cost 10 Essence for 30 Seconds

With a Fire Sale active, the Mystery Box will descend down onto the map at every possible location. Instead of costing the usual 950 Essence, the Mystery Box will be 10 Essence each and every time, and during those 30 seconds of activity, players can spin the box as much as they want to try and get the Ray Gun or the map-specific Wonder Weapon.

Nuke

All Spawned Zombies Die Instantly, and Special/Elite Zombies are Injured

The Nuke Power-Up is definitely great for skipping high rounds or to avoid certain death at the hands of unrelenting hordes. Picking up the Nuke Power-Up will see a flash of white light, as every zombie immediately combusts and dies. There is a spawn delay upon the next swarm of undead, but every zombie that had spawned in will be dead, except the Elite and Special Zombies – who instead will have a sizable chunk of their health taken. Popping a Nuke also provides 400 Essence.

Bonus Points

Everyone Receives 500 Essence

Bonus Points is rather lackluster for a Power-Up, as it provides a static surge of 500 Essence. It’s great for low rounds when players need to buy their Perks and upgrade their weapons at the Pack-a-Punch, but in later rounds, acquiring what is essentially 5 kills as a Power-Up, is something most would rather trade for an Insta-Kill.

Full Power

All Players Have Their Field Upgrades Instantly Charged

Field Upgrades are essential in Black Ops 6, especially with the right Augments to make them extremely powerful and the perfect choice for an arsenal worthy of high rounds. With Full Power, players will have their Field Upgrade instantly charged, meaning they don’t have to charge it with fresh kills. Players can run into a Full Power Power-Up while their Field Upgrade is active to add an additional charge.

Max Armor

Repairs All Armor

Max Armor might seem disappointing on low rounds due to how players would prefer to hear the Demonic Announcer provide a Max Ammo, but it’s still extremely useful on high rounds. Max Armor will instantly replenish the armor plates of every player without actually using the armor plates that players may or may not have. This means to those with Tier 3 armor, a must-have for high rounds, their armor instantly repairs itself, allowing them to tank more hits – since on higher rounds zombies can deal a lot more damage that armor breaks far too often.

Random Perk

Provides a Random Perk-a-Cola

free random perk unlock

Random Perk is not an ordinary Power-Up, and it cannot be acquired through the usual means of killing zombies. Instead, the Random Perk Power-Up is a reward for completing easter eggs and side quests with Terminus and Liberty Falls. When picking up the Random Perk Power-Up, every player will receive a completely random Perk-a-Cola that is not in their current loadout, whether that be Jugger-Nog or Elemental Pop, or more.
