Sony has expanded its DualSense collection with yet another limited-edition controller, this time for Fortnite fans. Announced during September’s State of Play along with the new Chroma Collection, the Limited Edition Fortnite DualSense Controller is now available to buy from Amazon and other retailers for $85. The colorful and graffiti-studded gamepad joins other limited-edition drops, including the Astro Bot controller and the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition DualSense.

Ditch the DualSense for These Custom PS5 Controllers
Increasingly expensive, the price gap between the DualSense and pro controllers is narrowing. Which custom PS5 controller is worth the investment?
The controller is predominantly blue, the same color as the Starlight Blue controller that was released earlier, but it’s the Fortnite-themed decals and characters that set it apart from other DualSense controllers. The touchpad has a colorful Fortnite logo and the popular “Where we droppin’?” tagline. You’ll also find Fishstick and Peely on each of the grips, along with doodles of other characters from the game spread throughout the face of the controller. Overall, it looks stunning and might potentially become one of the best gifts for Fortnite fans this holiday.
Aside from the vibrant Fortnite-themed design, the controller is the same as the standard DualSense controller. It retains all the features that make the DualSense stand out, including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and gyro controls. This also means it doesn’t support hall effect sticks like some of the newer Xbox controllers, but as long as you’re careful with your gamepad, stick drift won’t be an issue. While Fortnite will undoubtedly be the first game you play, the controller is also compatible with hundreds of games on the PS5 and even PC, via Remote Play.
Where to Buy the Limited Edition Fortnite PS5 DualSense Controller
Sony opened pre-orders for the Fortnite-themed DualSense Controller on October 3, and while it quickly went out of stock due to high demand, it was fully restocked on launch day, and now gamers can get it from Amazon, Best Buy, PlayStation Direct, and other retailers. The only downside is the price. At $85, it’s the most expensive edition of the standard DualSense controller, more expensive than other controllers launched on the same day, such as the Chroma Pearl and Chroma Indigo. It seems adding Fortnite stickers to an already available controller is an expensive affair.
Sony DualSense Wireless Controller – Fortnite Limited Edition
This Fortnite-themed DualSense Controller is the latest special-edition gamepad to join the DualSense family. It comes with a stunning design featuring characters and decals from the popular game, including Fishstick and Peely
While this is the first Fortnite-themed controller from Sony, it’s not the only gamepad designed around the popular video game on the market. PowerA has released a couple of Fortnite-themed controllers for the Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch, and they are much more affordable than the DualSense. If you don’t want to upgrade to a new controller, you can instead buy a couple of Fortnite stickers on Amazon to give your current controller a sleek Fortnite-themed look.
If you have a Nintendo Switch, my favorite controller is the Fortnite Peely Edition, a $65 wireless controller with an ergonomic design and included Fortnite skin. For Xbox Series X/S owners, the PowerA Advantage Fortnite Midas Edition is excellent for $40, but you’ll have to part with a whopping $100 for the Fortnite SE model if you want advanced features like hall effect thumbstick. If you’re looking for other special-edition DualSense controllers, the 30th Anniversary Limited Edition is a timeless classic, if you can find it in stock.
