Being Sumeru’s Archon, Nahida
is naturally adept at using Dendro. She is a powerful catalyst user in Genshin Impact who takes advantage of Elemental Mastery to deal major damage to enemies. Her unique Elemental Skill lets her mark opponents to throw Dendro at, causing elemental reactions right after and doing even more damage.

Genshin Impact: 5 Pro Tips For Playing As Nahida
Nahida is the fourth Archon and one of the most fun playable characters in Genshin Impact since she has quite a unique skill set.
Building up her Elemental Mastery is ideal. She can be an excellent support or DPS, and she’s the one to go for if you’re in need of more Dendro characters. Being a catalyst user, she has a lot of weapon choices that can work for her, both easy and hard to obtain.
Updated on November 5, 2024, by Asad Kashif: Nahida remains one of the strongest Dendro characters in Genshin Impact, even after Fontaine and Natlan have come out. With many more weapons released that cater more to supports and off-field sub DPS characters, Nahida’s best weapons have gone through significant changes. We’ve also focused more on her potential off-field while still keeping a few slots for her on-field playstyle.

Hakushin Ring
On-Field Support Option
The Hakushin Ring
doesn’t provide any Elemental Mastery to Nahida, making it a lot weaker for Nahida’s personal damage than even three-star options. However, if you’re using Nahida as a driver with strong off-field DPS characters like Fischl
or Yae Miko
, her personal DPS loss is insignificant when compared to the damage gained.
This is because the Hakushin Ring’s passive provides a team wide Elemental DMG Bonus when a character triggers a Dendro reaction. Since this is a weapon you can forge, you can very easily get it R5 to have a permanent 20 percent DMG Bonus for your entire team, so long as Nahida is the active character.

Solar Pearl
On-Field DPS Option
The Solar Peal is an all-around great weapon, providing both CRIT Rate and a hefty DMG Bonus. However, on Nahida specifically, it’s only decent at best. This is because Nahida does not deal any damage with her Elemental Burst, and her Normal Attacks are extremely weak as well, letting only one tiny portion of Solar Pearl’s buffs take effect on her.

Genshin Impact: Best Battle Pass Weapons For You
If you have Genshin Impact’s Battle Pass, be sure to collect the best weapons you can for your characters.
Furthermore, the short duration of the buffs means that the weapon does nothing for an off-field Nahida apart from providing her with CRIT Rate, making it worse than other options for a sub DPS Nahida, which is her best role.

Mappa Mare
DMG Bonus And Decent Elemental Mastery
This catalyst is craftable, so you can get it right away as long as you’ve got the billet. Its main stat gives 24 to 110 points of Elemental Mastery, which isn’t as high as Sacrificial Fragments. However, its passive makes it a pretty good option if you like having Nahida on the field.
If she triggers an elemental reaction – which is what she’s going to be doing most of the time anyway – Mappa Mare
‘s passive will give her an eight to 16 percent Elemental DMG Bonus, which can really help deal damage against enemies. While this passive still works off-field if you activate it when Nahida is active, you’ll have to switch to her every ten seconds to keep the buff on.

Thrilling Tales Of Dragon Slayer
Sacrifice Personal DPS For Team Buffs
The Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers
, or TTDS, is a three-star weapon in Genshin Impact that provides Nahida with the least amount of damage of any other weapon in the game. However, in return, it provides an almost Bennett-level buff to your active character after Nahida switches to them.
This weapon isn’t great in any teams where Nahida is a main source of damage. However, if you’re using her with a strong DPS, such as a Ganyu
in a Burn melt team, the damage your carry gains from this is well worth losing out on 100-200 EM on Nahida.

Magic Guide
Personal DMG Buff, Increased With Hydro And Electro Teammates
If you need a weapon that you can get relatively easily for Nahida, the three-star Magic Guide
is a decent option. Its main stat gives you 41 to 187 points of Elemental Mastery, depending on its level, which is already pretty useful. On top of that, its passive ability increases the damage it does against enemies affected by Electro or Hydro by 12 to 24 percent, depending on its refinement rank.
This will help you deal damage in teams that focus on elemental reactions like Bloom, Hyperbloom or Burgeon for Hydro, or Aggravate and Spread for Electro. Plus, it’s always fun to watch a flurry of reactions grinding away at the enemy’s health!

Fruit Of Fulfillment
Lose ATK To Gain EM
Since Nahida’s Tri-Karma Retribution, her main and only source of damage, scales primarily off of Elemental Mastery, the ATK stat is more or less wasted on her. Even without that, though, Nahida gains so much value from EM alone that no matter how much of it you have, sacrificing other stats for it can still be worthwhile.

Genshin Impact: Best Weapons To Forge First
The crafting system in Genshin Impact offers a number of weapons for players to forge. These are the ones you should prioritize.
This forgeable weapon, the Fruit of Fulfillment
, decreases your ATK to increase your EM whenever you trigger an Elemental Reaction, giving up to 180 EM at five refinements. This is a huge buff, enough for a complete substat behind just a passive. Best of all, this buff can be stacked without Nahida ever coming on the field, letting you use a character that may need more field-time, such as Kamisato Ayato
or Sangonomiya Kokomi
.
6
Sacrificial Fragments
High EM, Useless Passive
Right off the bat, this catalyst’s main stat is Elemental Mastery, which is very beneficial to Nahida. It can give you 48 to 221 points of Elemental Mastery, which makes it an overall improvement over the EM provided by three-star weapons.
Sacrificial Fragments
‘s passive can be beneficial if dealing with squishy enemies that come in multiple waves. However, even then, saving just two seconds off your rotations isn’t a significant damage increase.
However, the passive is more or less completely useless on Nahida. Not only does her Elemental Skill last 25 seconds, but the actual cooldown is extremely short as well, at just 5-6 seconds, depending on whether you press or hold it.
5
Favonius Codex
Best Support For Energy Hungry Team Members
The Favonius series of weapons are arguably the best supportive equipment in Genshin Impact. With much of every character’s main kit being locked behind their Elemental Burst, weapons like the Favonius Codex
let you use your ultimate skills more consistently without building too much Energy Recharge.

Create the perfect Hyperbloom team by choosing these characters we’ve ranked based on their abilities.
In teams where Nahida functions more as a support for teammates that need lots of energy, such as a hyperbloom team with Yelan
and Xingqiu
, putting this weapon on Nahida lets her funnel Energy towards her teammates, making the team a lot more comfortable to both play and build.
4
The Widsith
Gacha Each Time Nahida Takes The Field
The Widsith
is one of the best options for any damage-dealing character that holds a catalyst. This weapon’s main stat gives Nahida 12 to 55.1 percent CRIT DMG. This helps Nahida a lot, as she still needs CRIT stats on top of her Elemental Mastery. Its passive can also be really useful, but it comes with certain conditions.
It randomly increases either her ATK, Elemental DMG, or Elemental Mastery when you switch to her. For almost any other character, pretty much any of those would benefit the character. But since Nahida is focused on Elemental Mastery, getting a boost in ATK won’t help her as much as the other two options. So, using this weapon is a bit of a gamble every time. That said, an ATK boost isn’t the worst thing you could give her.
3
Wandering Evenstar
Teamwide ATK Buff
Being an off-field character, Nahida can deal most of her damage even without extremely strong weapon passives. Due to this, any weapon that can give her Elemental Mastery and also give your team additional buffs becomes a perfect fit for Nahida. However, not only does the Wandering Evenstar
do all this, but also increases her own personal DPS.
The Morning Evenstar has an EM main stat with a passive that gives the user a portion of their Elemental Mastery as bonus ATK, around an entire 1000 bonus attack at R5. Since Nahida’s damage scales off of both ATK and EM, she’s incentivized to building the latter. This makes her a lot more efficient in terms of utilizing her stats.
Additionally, since a portion of this buff is also given to the user’s allies, teams with ATK-scaling characters, such as Keqing
, can benefit greatly from this buff, gaining an extra 150-250 attack on average if your Nahida has a thousand points in her personal Elemental Mastery!
2
Kagura’s Verity
Increases Elemental Skill Damage
Despite belonging to Yae Miko, Kagura’s Verity
fits Nahida like a charm!. Its main stat gives her an extra 14.4 to 66.2 percent CRIT DMG, which is excellent. But its passive is where it shines. When she uses her Elemental Skill, her Elemental Skill DMG will increase by 12 to 24 percent for the next 16 seconds, depending on its refinement rank.
This can stack up to three times, though Nahida won’t be able to reach that. Still, even powering up her Elemental Skill once will pack a punch, especially if it ends up being a CRIT hit.
1
A Thousand Floating Dreams
Nahida’s Signature, Buffs Entire Team’s Damage
Being Nahida’s signature weapon, this will usually be her best option. Its main stat provides her with 58 to 265 points of Elemental Mastery, depending on its level, and its passive buffs Nahida differently based on the other party members.
She’ll get 32 to 64 points of Elemental Mastery for each character who’s also Dendro, and ten to 26 percent Dendro DMG Bonus for every character who’s not Dendro. Every character besides her will also get 40 to 48 points of Elemental Mastery, depending on the weapon’s refinement rank. This catalyst isn’t needed for Nahida to be good, but it helps cover many bases, increasing her own personal damage while also buffing her allies greatly.
