Items have been an essential part of Mario Party history, and with Super Mario Party Jamboree, that holds more true than ever. There is an abundance of items that can be used in the game, all the way from benefiting you to completely sabotaging your opponent.

You can only hold three items at a time, so it is crucial that you only carry the most useful items. There are many different ways to utilize these items, so it may be a struggle to decide the best one to use. Here are some new items that are useful in any playthrough.

Mushroom Ticket
- Chance of using Mushroom for two or four turns
You may be familiar with the mushroom item in Mario Party, the item that adds five to your total dice roll on your turn. The mushroom ticket is the same item, only it gives you tickets that can be used to reap the benefits of the mushroom item from two to four turns, instead of on a one-use-only basis.
This is particularly useful if you want to get somewhere fast. It may take multiple turns, but that extra ten to 20 spaces that you can move with the ticket will help you tremendously in the long run.

Tower Turner
- Only found in Mario’s Rainbow Castle
- Switch Toad and Impostor Bowser
Here is an item that is only obtainable on Mario’s Rainbow Castle board. This board, which originated in the very first Mario Party, was revamped for Super Mario Party Jamboree, and with it came the Tower Turner item.
Before you can get the item, though, you will have to unlock the board first by reaching gold player rank.
This item gives you a chance to switch Impostor Bowser and Toad’s places. Toad will give you a star every time you reach him at the tower, but if you reach Impostor Bowser instead, and even if you can’t hit his high quota of 40 or 20 coins for ztars, he will still take all the coins you have and give you ztars in return, which basically means you gain nothing and lose everything. This item is really useful when you are trying to stop an opponent from receiving a star.

Markup Sticker
- Only found in Rainbow Galleria
- Markup prices of items
Exclusive to the Rainbow Galleria board, this item is really beneficial for anyone who needs to stop an opponent from buying something. Say your opponent is within a few spaces of the star, and they have exactly 20 coins. They will surely get the star on their next turn, right?
However, if you happen to have the Markup Sticker in your inventory, you can use it to double the price of all items for any player of your choice during their next turn. That means the star would double in cost from 20 coins to 40, and your opponent only had 20 coins, so they have no choice but to pass over the star without buying anything.

Shop Hop Box
- Randomly appear in front of another shop on the board.
The shop hop box allows you to jump to any random shop on the map. This item is really nice if you want to stock up on some items during your turn, but you are nowhere near a shop. It is also quite beneficial if you are in a pickle and are trying to avoid–say–a trap.
The only caveat with this item, which keeps it from going higher on this list, is that you cannot choose which item shop you are going to stop at. When using the item, it is completely random where you will end up; you could stop right in front of the exact shop you want or possibly at the shop you least want to be at.

Super Creepy Dice
- Gives every opponent the Creepy Dice effect
The Super Creepy Dice is a take on an item that has gone through a ton of name changes over the years. Its current name is the Creepy Dice Block, and it limits a player’s dice roll from ten to only between one and three for their next turn.

You’ll be losing your actual friends by the end of this game of Mario Party anyway, so you may as well grab a Buddy to make up for their absence!
The Super Creepy Dice block takes it a step further and allows you to essentially give a Creepy Dice Block effect to every one of your opponents, limiting all of their dice rolls on their next turns besides your own. This is really helpful if multiple people are near places that you don’t want them to be.

Creepy Dice Block Ticket
- Can use a creepy dice block from two to four turns
The Creepy Dice Block is back, and that’s because this item is the most valuable in the game, even if it may not seem like it. The Creepy Dice Block Tickets take the original item and basically multiply its uses.
Using the ticket will allow you to use the Creepy Dice Block between two and four turns instead of just one turn. And there are many reasons and uses for why this comes so handy. One of many reasons is if you are getting closer to the star and you don’t have enough coins yet. Using the ticket will allow you to slow your turns to possibly gain additional coins you may need before you reach the star. There are many other uses for this item, too, which is why this is the best item you can get in Super Mario Party Jamboree.

Star Steal Trap
- Steals a star from an opponent when landed on
Sometimes, people want to play nice in their Mario Party, and sometimes, people want to play dirty. This item allows you to do just that. How the Star Steal Trap works is exactly as the name suggests: it is a trap that will steal a star from someone.
You will be able to place a trap after using the item, either a few spaces ahead of you or behind you. You will then have to wait for a player to land on the space before the item can be stolen. The only catch is that once someone lands on the space, the trap disappears, meaning you won’t be able to get another star from that spot unless you place another trap.

Super Swap Mirror
- Swap places with an opponent of your choice
This item is similar to the Super Creepy Dice as it is an enhanced version of another item in the game. The item in question is the Swap Mirror, which has also gone through some name changes throughout the years.
The Swap Mirror allows you to randomly switch places with an opponent, which is all fine and good, but what if you are trying to stop a player from getting a star, and you want that star for yourself? That’s where the Super Swap Mirror comes in, as it allows you to choose who you want to swap places with.

Super Dueling Glove
- Duel against an opponent for a star
Here’s another item that not only is an enhancement of another item in the game, but that version of the item also originated in early Mario Party titles. The Dueling Glove, which is the basic version of this item, allows you to pick a player to duel for a certain number of coins.
The Super Dueling Glove still allows you to pick a player to duel, but instead of wagering coins, you are betting on stars. Each person will put one star into the pot, and whoever wins the mini-game that follows will take the other player’s star.

Triple Payday Dice
- Gain coins equal to the number you rolled
The payday dice is an incredibly useful item. This item takes the normal triple dice that allows you to roll three dice anywhere from a number of one to ten and amplifies it. It takes every roll of your dice and gives coins equal to the number you rolled.
You could easily end up with 30 coins before you have even moved! This is great when you’re trying to get a large number of coins fast. Say you’re near Boo, and you want to steal a star, but you only have 45 coins when you need 50. Roll the triple payday dice, and you may just have enough to steal that star.
