MultiVersus has introduced plenty of iconic characters into the ring since its release in 2022. In that time, MultiVersus introduced not just iconic Warner Bros. properties to the game, but characters from its many different Cartoon Network shows. The fighting game’s newest addition falls in both camps, as this sly demon is not just part of Cartoon Network’s daily roster, but is a fan favorite in DC Comics and a live-action TV adaptation.
Plenty of other Cartoon Network and DC characters have been added to MultiVersus, making this character’s addition feel right in line. However, this new character has some key distinctions despite her superhero background. Raven is technically the first spell caster on the MultiVersus roster and her addition spells trouble for players that aren’t fond of Mages.

Raven Joins MultiVersus
To a certain generation of gamers, Raven is known for her time on Cartoon Network. This makes her character design in MultiVersus distinct as it takes more from DC Comics than her design in the 2003 run of Teen Titans or Teen Titans Go!
Though her appearance is distinct, gamers will quickly recognize Raven’s key moves. These moves may not be officially named by MultiVersus, but her gameplay reveal trailer spells out her iconic chant “Azarath Metrion Zinthos” in bold letters, suggesting that the spell will be included as one of her moves. Raven can also be seen floating and controlling black portals and purple energy, in line with her moves in Teen Titans. MultiVersus has confirmed that Raven falls under the Mage archetype, which suits her skill set perfectly.
Raven is the first of the Titans to be included in MultiVersus. As one person of a larger team and the first in her franchise, it’s easy to speculate which characters MultiVersus will add next now that Raven has broken down the door.
Teen Titans Go… to MultiVersus?
While many characters have been a part of the Teen Titans, both in DC Comics canon and in both Cartoon Network adaptations, the core team typically boils down to Robin (Dick Grayson), Beast Boy, Cyborg, Starfire, and Raven.
The popularity of each member can be argued, but looking at MultiVersus’ current roster and its most recent additions, Raven’s inclusion in the game makes more sense than her team members. This is due to her role as a spell caster and long-range attacks compared to other members of her team. Starfire is the Titan with the most similar set of powers, meaning her addition to MultiVersus could have been easily justified as well.
That said, Raven is being released alongside Marceline from Adventure Time. Both characters are associated with darker Gothic aesthetics, which suggests that MultiVersus may have wanted to pair their latest release together. Raven is a more suitable pick than Starfire in this regard. With this in mind, the introduction of the other Titans might not be too far off.
Fitting the Titans under MultiVersus’s archetypes is also fairly simple. Robin would probably be introduced to the game as an Assassin due to his fighting style. Cyborg’s metallic body and tool kit would probably place him in the Tank role. Beast Boy is a bit more difficult to categorize. Placing him as a Bruiser to round out categories could make sense, though this may be a tad antithetical to his rapidly changing powers. This makes the Assassin archetype seem more likely.
Overall, Raven’s addition to MultiVersus will likely cause the Teen Titans to swing into the game in full force. Until her teammates join the game, players can test out Raven for themselves in MultiVersus‘ Season 4, starting on November 12.
