One of the best aspects of Webfishing is the ability to customize your character. There are many cosmetic items available for purchase that allow you to change your character’s clothes, eyes, and colors to match your personal taste.
In addition, you can choose tags that reflect your personality in the game. However, that’s not all. Did you know there is an item in the game called the Hand Labeler? With it, you can rename the fish you catch, giving cool or funny names to the ones you feel emotionally attached to. This guide will explain this item in detail.
How To Rename Fish
To rename your fish, you’ll need an item called the Hand Labeler. To purchase this item, go to the cabin on the right side of the Pawprint Point sign in the central hub. Inside, you’ll see an opossum character on the right. Talk to her to buy the Hand Labeler from the misc tab in the general store window.
If you don’t see this item in the opossum’s shop, you need to increase your Camp Tier level.
With the Hand Labeler, you can rename not only your fish but also various items.
Once you purchase the Hand Labeler, it will be added to your backpack. From there, you can use it, or if you plan to use it frequently, you can assign it to a number in your hotbar. When you click on the Hand Labeler, a window will open. In this window, press the Choose Item button on the left to select an item or fish from your inventory.
Then, type the name you want to give it in the text box and click the Name Item button on the right to complete the renaming process.
If you want to remove the name from a named item or fish, select the named item in the Hand Labeler’s window, leave the text box blank, and then click the Name Item button. This will revert the item’s name to its original form.
