This will lead to less of a noticeable change in your income if you need to build multiple buildings at once, though it’s important to quickly replace any used workers as the number of buildings you need will only increase.

Should you lose your main base and lose all your structures, you’ll have to go through the entire structure tree again to get late-game units. Having an additional backup of every structure somewhere on the map can let you lose your entire home base and not skip a beat in making more units.

A Hatchery only produces three Larvae before it stops and waits for them to be morphed.

Using the Spawn Larvae ability, you can go beyond the limit, and give a Hatchery an infinite amount of Larvae. By letting this stack up throughout the game on multiple Hatcheries, you can get to a point where you spawn an entire army in the time it takes to spawn a single unit, you just have to stay on top of spawning larvae on every Hatchery throughout the game.

The Overseer also has the Changling ability, which creates a harmless Changling that approaches an enemy and morphs into their basic unit. If the enemy has Recon, they will spot and kill the unit, or a skilled player can do the same, though a CHangling is often a great way to walk among your enemy and see what they are doing with less fear of being noticed.

Creep makes your units move faster, and lets you build structures anywhere, while also giving you vision of any area covered in Creep. Your goal for every game should be placing a few Creep Tumors and trying to get them to spread across the entire map. Enemy factions that aren’t Zerg also can’t built on Creep, so you can also cut off expansion points, which are a crucial aspect of such a difficult game, using something that is completely free to use.
