The meteor event is rarer than the rain event, though being rare doesn’t mean you’ll never encounter it—just that it occurs less frequently. This event happens roughly every 45 minutes. During a rain event, the rain cloud is visible from anywhere you are, while in the meteor event, this is not the case.
When a meteor event occurs, you need to find the meteor within about a minute. If you don’t find it in time, the meteor will disappear, and you’ll have to wait for the next meteor event.
How To Know When A Meteor Falls
There are two ways to know when a meteor has fallen. The first is when you see “what was that…?” in the chatbox on the left. This indicates that the meteor event has occurred. The second method is the sound of the meteor crashing. When you hear this sound, you’ll recognize it—it sounds similar to thunder.
If your game is open and you want to do other things while waiting for the meteor event, be sure to increase the sound effect volume in the settings. This way, you won’t miss the meteor event when it happens.
How To Find The Meteor Quickly
The most important thing to know about the meteor is that it only falls into water. However, since most areas in the game are watery, this makes it a bit tricky to find. Therefore, you should position yourself in a central location and quickly check all the water-covered areas.
It’s a good idea to create a route and be prepared, so you don’t waste time while searching for the meteor. Also, make sure you have Speed Slurpo XL from the vending machine, which gives you an extreme bonus to sprinting speed, so you can move faster when looking for the meteor.
The meteor looks like a dark-colored rock with steam rising from it. When you get close, you’ll be able to see it. There will also be a ripple effect around the area where the meteor fell. You should fish in the center of that ripple.
