It seems that there’s more to uncover in Black Ops 6 Zombies‘ Terminus fish quest that players initially thought. While most assumed that cooking fish on Terminus was to provide the Culinary Delight achievement, it turns out that there is actually a way that players can bypass the Terminus math puzzle for the free Beamsmasher and avoid paying Peck 5,000 Essence for the answers, and it’s easy.

Black Ops 6 Zombies requires players to remember math class and algebra if they want to acquire the free DRI-11 Beamsmasher on Terminus.
Those who enter into Black Ops 6 can put their culinary skills to the test to bribe Peck on Terminus for the answer to the Beamsmasher puzzle. While the puzzle is solvable without forking out 5,000 Essence, players can now forget all the algebra that they have learned and simply bribe him with some cooking skills, and here’s how.
How to Bribe Peck and Keep 5,000 Points
To start, players actually need to make sure that they are at the DRI-11 Beamsmasher step that requires them to solve the math puzzle. From here, players do need to spend an initial 5,000 Essence with Peck to recieve the answer codes, but they will be refunded it through the following steps.
Players are going to need an explosive or a Shock Charge. Grenades are an easy and safe bet and can be acquired from the Crafting Table for 250 Salvage. Take this lethal equipment to the Docks and throw it into the sea, where some dead fish should bubble up. Just by having killed these, fish they will be added to your inventory, but feel free to hop into the water and interact with them for safe measure.
Now, take the fish to the Mess Hall and look to the right of the stoves to find a container of cooking oil, which players will need to collect with the interact button. Now, when facing the stoves, interact with the empty pan on the left which will add the frying oil, and then interact with it again to add the fish. Once this has been done, players need to progress to the next round. After a round has passed, players can return to the fish where they have two options:
- Take Fried Fish (Y/Triangle/Middle-Mouse Button)
- Eat Fried Fish (X/Square/F)
To bribe Dr. Peck, players must select the option to take fried fish. Now, head back to the Guard Station where Dr. Peck and Strauss are, and look to the deposit box where players will be able to interact with it to provide Peck with a fried fish. Peck will provide some dialogue, and then return the 5,000 points that he took from earlier.
Although players must first spend 5,000 Essence, they will receive it back once they cook a fish, meaning that they can complete all steps to get their money back within one round.
