What Are Binders in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

Binders are player-made collections of Pokemon TCG Pocket cards. Each player can have up to 15 binders, and each binder can showcase up to 30 cards. The goal is to create creative sets, adorn them with accessories, and show them to others, or have them sit on your home screen—for purely cosmetic purposes.

Pokemon TCG Pocket’s binders are made up of six components:

• Covers: You can pick a cosmetic design as your binder’s cover art.
• Titles: You can pick a short name for your binder.
• Cards: You can add 1 to 30 cards (of any type) to your binder.
• Tags: You can pick descriptive tags like #LegendaryMythical or #FavoritePokemon so other players can find your binders.
• Visibility: You can determine who can see your binders. The options are private (no one can see them), Friends (only your allies can see them), and Public (anyone can see them).
• Likes: Other players can leave a like on your non-private binders, and you will be able to see their likes.

Do not mistake binders for display boards in Pokemon TCG Pocket. The latter is limited to only one card and allows for additional cosmetics like backdrops, while the former is more of an album of cards you put together with a theme or cosmetic purpose in mind.

You can access your binders from the game’s main menu. For that, set a binder as your favorite by toggling the star icon on it. Then, swipe right on your home screen to browse it.

How Can You Make a Binder?

1. Go to ‘My Cards.’
2. From the top navigation bar, select ‘Binders.’
3. Tap ‘Create.’
4. Add up to 30 cards from your Pokedex.
5. Adjust the binder’s cover, title, tag, and visibility.
6. Click save.

Binders unlock when you reach level seven. Once you meet this prerequisite, you can build up to fifteen of them from the My Cards menu. Note that you can only create binders with cards you’ve already unlocked.

How Can You Share Your Binders with Others?

1. From the ‘My Cards’ menu, open the ‘Binders’ tab.
2. Tap the ‘Show Friend ID’ button at the bottom-right corner.
3. Copy and share your unique ID with a friend.
4. They can use this code in the Social Hub to see your binders.

If your binder is public, your friends will be able to see them in the Community Showcase under the Friend’s Showcase tab. However, if they are not public, you can ask a friend to enter your Friend ID in their game to see them.

How to See a Friend’s Binder

1. Ask for a friend’s showcase ID.
2. Go to the Social Hub.
3. Select Community Showcase.
4. From the bottom-left corner, tap ‘Friend ID Search.’
5. Enter the friend’s unique code to browse their binders.

Alternatively, you can go to the ‘Friends’ tab in the Social Hub menu. (It’s right under Community Showcase.) From there, you can click any friend’s profile and go to their binders using the ‘View Showcase’ button under their avatar.

How Can You Delete a Binder?

1. Go to ‘My Cards.’
2. Select ‘Binders.’
3. From the top-right corner, tap ‘Edit.’
4. Tap the red minus icon that appears next to your binders.
5. Confirm deletion to remove the binder.

Deleting binders does not delete the cards in your Pokedex. However, you will lose that specific collection and cannot recover it. Recreating the entire thing from scratch is the only way to get back a deleted binder.

How Can You Get More Covers for Binders?

Binder covers can be purchased from the in-game store in exchange for Shop Tickets. However, specific limited-time events in Pokemon Pocket, like Wonder Pick’s event in November, allow you to collect additional covers and cosmetics for binders by completing side quests and quick objectives.
