Skill analysis
Granger possesses the usual set of four skills—a passive ability and three active ones. This guide will detail his abilities in Mobile Legends, outlining the best times to utilize each skill for maximum impact.
Passive – Capriccio (Damage, Buff)
Granger’s unique Demon Hunting Gun and Cannon are powered by Demonic Energy. There are lots of important things to note about this passive ability:
- Both his weapons have a starting Energy cap of 800.
- His Gun restores 8% Energy per second while his Cannon restores 2% Energy per second.
- Each Minion/Creep kill will permanently increase the Energy cap of Granger’s Gun and Cannon by 6 points each, and will also instantly restore their Energy by 5%. Every kill or assist on an enemy hero will permanently increase their Energy cap by 12 and instantly restore 10% of Energy.
- Every 1% CD Reduction Granger gains is converted into 2 Physical Attacks. Demonic Energy Cost is not affected by Energy Cost Reductions.
Skill 1 – Rhapsody (Burst)
Granger rapidly fires 6 shot(s) with his Gun, with each shot dealing 60(+50% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage and consuming 70 Gun Energy, making it 420 Gun Energy to execute the ability. The last bullet is guaranteed to deal Critical damage. Each bullet deals an additional 70 damage to Creeps and Minions. While firing, Granger’s Movement Speed is increased by 15%.
Granger stops firing when he runs out of Energy, or when the skill is cast again. Rhapsody has a brief cooldown and can be cast once his Gun Energy is over 420.
Granger can use Rondo while this skill is active, but he can’t alter his facing direction. .
Skill 2 – Rondo (Mobility, Buff)
Granger uses his Demon Hunter agility to dash in the target direction, instantly restoring 15% Gun Energy.
Rondo can be cast while channelling Rhapsody. Each time Rhapsody hits an enemy, Rondo’s Cooldown is reduced by 0.5 seconds.
Make sure to use this skill to reposition during battles, whether you’re chasing enemies or trying to escape.
Ultimate Skill – Death Sonata (Burst, Slow)
Granger fires his Cannon in the target direction, dealing 250 (+80% Total Physical Attack) Physical Damage to the first enemy hero hit and other targets in the blast radius. Targets hit will be slowed and revealed for a brief duration. Granger also rolls immediately in the Joystick’s direction after each shot.
Death Sonata can be cast while firing Rhapsody. It also has a brief CD of 0.6s and consumes 250 of Granger’s Cannon Energy per shot.
This ability can be easily spammed provided you have lots of remaining Cannon Energy.
Skill-up method for Granger
Focus on leveling up Skill 1 first as it’s his main damage dealer. After that, prioritize upgrading Skill 2, and finally, max out Skill 3 last.
Combinations to perform with Granger
Combo
For effective enemy ganks, initiate by using Granger’s ultimate for burst and slow, before following up with his first skill. Dash in using Skill 2, to restore extra Gun Energy and then spam his Skill 1 and ultimate more till the enemy is killed. Unlike the old Granger, you can spam his abilities more easily and use lots more skills based on Granger’s max Gun and Cannon energy.
Skill 3 +Skill 1 + Skill 2 + Skill 1 + Skill 3
Best Emblem Set and Spells for Granger in Mobile Legends
Ever since his revamp, Granger has had a more versatile role as he can now be used in the Jungle or Gold Lane. Based on his passive it will even be easier for him to farm Energy stacks as a laner, since the more his total Energy, the more easily he can spam skills making it easier to secure kills.
Regardless of the lane, he is used in, we recommend using the Custom Assassin emblem. You can pick talents that best match your style and needs to improve your Granger gameplay.
Custom Assassin Emblem
In Jungle or Gold lane, Granger benefits from the Custom Assassin emblem, which boosts his Adaptive Penetration, Adaptive Attack, and Movement Speed allowing him to swiftly manoeuvre through the map while dealing significant damage to his targets. Thus, we recommend Rupture and Seasoned Hunter for penetration and increased jungle speed especially when Jungling. In the last tier, choose Lethal Ignition as it deals extra scorch damage to enemies which is helpful when attacking enemies.
However, when going to lane in the Gold lane, the recommended emblem setup is Rupture, Weapons Master, and Quantum Charge. This combination enhances Granger’s mobility while ensuring sustained health regeneration during combat, augmenting his overall effectiveness in battles. Mobile Legends Granger Gameplay Tips
Even with the revamp, Granger is still a very annoying and strong jungle marksman hero in MLBB. However, a player must need a good understanding of the map to bring the best out of any hero. According to his gameplay, we can break it down into three phases. Our Mobile Legends Granger guide includes the perfect game plan for the early, mid, and late games.
Early Game
During the early stages, prioritize farming efficiently to build up Gun energy stacks be it as a jungler or Marksman. Farming lots of Gun Energy stacks is important as Revamped Granger is quite similar to Aldous and Cecilion when it comes to stacking for Mid-Late game burst potential. Thus, ensure to last hit minions and take extra creeps to stack up ahead. As the jungler, farm to level up and coordinate with your team for early ganks on enemy carry. So as to give your team the upper hand and as well as boost your overall level and item progression.
Do also remember to aim to Skill 1 properly to maximize its damage output and harass enemies when opportunities arise, but avoid overly aggressive plays unless you have a clear advantage.
Mid Game
As you transition into the mid-game, aim to participate in team fights when your core items are secured. Utilize your mobility to rotate across the map swiftly. Opt for ganking opportunities, especially in lanes where your presence can tip the scales in your team’s favour.
Make use of your skill combos, particularly Skill 3 to slow enemies and set up kills for your team. Focus on objectives like turrets and buffs to maintain map control.
Late Game
In the late game, your damage potential increases significantly with your Energy stacks and completed build. Prioritize positioning and target selection during team fights, as your burst damage can quickly turn the tide in your team’s favour. Maintain awareness of enemy crowd control abilities and position yourself accordingly to avoid being caught out. That’s why you can use Granger’s ultimate ability to seek enemies out and reveal their positions.
Properly utilize your first skill and skill 2 well, and ensure it hits before finishing them with your ultimate ability to maximize damage output and secure kills. Coordination with your team becomes crucial for successful pushes, team fights, and securing game-ending objectives like the Lord or the enemy base.
